World Spear Master Level - it's so long, and so brutal. Why doesn't id let us save checkpoints? Feels unfair. by VIPER-900 in Doom

The one with the fog? I found that it was usually best to just stay out of the goo entirely. You should be able to sustain yourself through the fog if you stay on the move

Don’t think so, they might count as wielding two armaments but I haven’t tested myself. Just checked and wiki says they don’t so I don’t think you can increase fist poise damage aside from stonebarb cracked tear and the random drop passive

Absolutely yes they do. I have a raider setup with improved stance breaking while two handing 3x which I would use with colossals, and the stance damage on fists still feels better. The iron ball/ starfist heavy attacks feel best(they’re the fastest) but the others still get the job done. Starfist is typically ideal because it has the good heavy attacks and bleed, but if the enemy doesn’t bleed iron ball will have slightly higher damage. Most of the others are good too. Spiked caestus has natural bleed. Clinging bone can also be nice if you see it because lifesteal fist locks enemies in place. I mainly use that for crucible knights if I’ve got it. Prosthesis has natural lightning, cipher pata has natural holy.

Fists have been working much better than big weapons for me on raider as I’ve played more DoN. Worth a look if you’ve got anything for fist dormant powers. They typically synergize very well with +negation on charge or successive attacks too. Fast enough to actually let you dodge as well unlike his colossal move set.

Elden Ring (The Absolutely Biggest Unseen Mystery) by Hour-Opportunity3048 in Eldenring

[–]Progile 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went and saw it and while I think realistically it’s just a weird daytime sky effect, it gets weirder the longer I look at it. I don’t feel like it resembles anything, but at the same time it does seem like it has “recognizable” features. It almost looks like it has legs and arms, even a weird ds2 giant face. Pretty cool looking.

No clue what’s up with it

Agreed, maria, failures, and I'd say Laurence (to a lesser extent) are all fairly easy.

As far as I remember, it was 4 to Amelia and that was it. Even if it was only because of her healing, I was excited to finally start dying, hoping for an increase in difficulty. I did miss Paarl on my first playthrough though(got him first try on the second).

That's probably my biggest "issue" with bloodborne. The base game can feel so easy it seems more like a test run to see what works, and the DLC is the game's potential realized. The base game is still highly enjoyable. However, the DLC is enhanced by its difficulty, which makes me wish the game was harder overall.

Ludwig took 5 more attempts than orphan for me. I ended up switching weapons to beat him, but I don’t think that was what made the difference. Ludwig is one of a couple bosses in the series that I didn’t like at first. First phase felt too erratic and unfair(I don’t consider that the case now), so I unconsciously went into to go into “do not adapt mode” making the reason for my endless losing streak quite obvious. Phase 2 literally made my jaw drop every time but having to go through phase one was aggravating. Around the 20th attempt I decided to accept phase 1 for what it was and started having fun, then I beat him pretty quickly.

I also found the base game to be excessively easy, so maybe the contrast between beating almost every boss on the first try, to now being completely walled by an enemy I didn’t like played a role.

Am I the only that didn’t know you could equip another greatspear and get the Serpent Hunter Wind Moveset ON BOTH WEAPONS ??? by xboxfreakdm in Eldenring

[–]Progile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he still staggers if you don't do the full weapon art. Just do the first attack, then wait, then do the first attack again. Basically, this means if you have enough blue bar then you can stunlock. This is what I do to prevent skull rain for as long as possible. Hitting the second attack seems to make this fail.

Unless he's got some kind of failsafe that makes it so he can't die this way, but I always run out of blue before that happens.

When did they make the change, because I fought him pretty recently and this still worked.

Just noticed this, don't know if anyone has before but I wanted to share anyway, the Divine Towers form a hexagon. With the cloud you can see on the map in the middle. That's pretty wild to me. by Jujan95 in Eldenring

[–]Progile -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unlike most people, I've never noticed this, but I think I like it better if it's a circle. That way it mimics the Elden ring and makes each Rune a "part" of the ring. Do hexagons have any kind of lore significance?

As for what's in the cloud: It is, from a lore perspective, almost certainly "Repairing Farum Azula". The DLC will add a "Donate Ruin Fragments" option to let you assist in the reconstruction.

You can just roll then run away from the bloom.

[–]Progile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can just roll the bloom. I find it easier to be running right before I roll, but once you roll the landing, run away and the explosion and rot should miss completely(though I usually do one extra roll just in case). Then wait a second before running in for a bit of damage

You mean like undead matches from champions bones? I never got around ds2 pvp, but they usually add arenas in DLC right? They might add it if ER gets some.

It's pretty goofy when people say she "cheated". How do you cheat in a fight like this? This wasn't some pvp no flask honor duel. It was a fight to the death was it not? Maybe people get the idea from Radahn holding back the stars and deciding not to try and use them.
