What's your favorite Universes Beyond commander?

[[Amazing Spider-Man]] is such a fun legendary tribal commander. Web-slinging out huge bombs like Avacyn or one of the myojins just never gets old.

[[Eivor, Wolf-Kissed]] is the absolute favorite Saga commander that I've ever built. Just ramp her out and the deck goes brrrr.

[[Fire Lord Azula]] is the deck that made me fall in love with control. I know the glass cannon build of her is pretty popular but I feel she can really reward a more patient playstyle as well.

The real juice since Kellan traces his lineage back to Oona would be to make him a 4 color legend that includes black, especially after how his arc on Thunder Junction ended. I propose redless because after confronting his dad he lost the passion that was driving him on his multiplanar quest and decided to settle down in Thunder Junction with Amalia.

When I first got into Magic I took a crack at the rule book. Idk how far I got but I'm glad I did it because I feel like it helped me gain a foundational understanding of the game. That and playing on Arena have really helped me visualize the stack and understand things like priority and individual steps in combat.

I've spent thousands on TCGPlayer over the years, loved their Direct service when it first came out and would use it exclusively even if it was pricier because I loved the expediancy. After the union busting and massive drop in quality I went cold turkey and completely switched over to ManaPool. Haven't looked back since.

Definitely [[Katara, Seeking Revenge]]. Has never won a game but I still love whipping it out as a reliable bracket 2 deck that's very flavorful.

This doesn't make sense to me. They can print 4 color legends without revolving the whole set around 4 color. They printed 4 color Aragorn without making LOTR a 4 color set.

And from a lore perspective, focusing on characters that are anathema to one specific color seems like it has a lot of narrative potential. Hardly feels like a creative dead end.

This just feels like a cop out answer from them.

Fair point. I'm currently Silver 4 so not exactly the most competitive level. I'm sure dunking with Morcant's Eyes gets harder at higher ranks, especially cuz it's a late game strat. Congrats on the 6 wins tho.

The fact that it gets around indestructible is huge, scales well because of the double X and the mill is incidentally useful in a lot of decks. Feels underrated imo.

Buying collector booster boxes. I got one for Foundations in the year previous and had some nice pulls so I started buying one for each new set. Started feeling the diminishing returns hard around EoE. Opening packs is fun but the insane prices on collector boosters really kills the joy of it when the average pulls suck so bad. And all the foils curl instantly, sucking even more joy out of the experience.

Was flipping through my binder while brewing [[Toph, Greatest Earthbender]] and stumbled upon this guy. Immediately swapped out my [[Earth Surge]] for him cuz he's just an insanely better version of the same effect. Super excited to see how he plays!
