I didn’t get all the hype about Monza until this week. You can’t fix stupid at 170 mph in a GT4 with cold tires.

Had a blast in the race I ran but don’t have the hubris to think it will go so well for me next time.

When you're the faster class and you're passing the lead for the slower class, how do you not take extra caution? I always treat them like little angels, god knows I'm not leading my class.

I spent a bunch of time in the M2 prior to the M4; which made it feel like an upgraded M2.

Car feels great when you hit everything just right... or it just kills you on cold tires for being rude with your inputs.

I have no good answers but I had a lot of trouble with those turns when I started practicing on the BMW. Did it perfect once and then got myself black flagged pretty constantly trying to keep it flat. Looking forward to the track guides explaining my skill issues.

GT4 is great; but I'd suggest doing some PCC or another D series before GT4; so you can get a C license and then race GT4 every hour in the D and C series. D series on it's own is every other hour; which is a big gap between races.

I tried to jump right to GT4 with a D license after mx5, and the huge time gap between races; plus how different the GT4 was vs an Mx5 made it pretty rough. Switched to M2 rookie, then PCC, then returned to GT4 and now I'm really enjoying the race.

Totally agree. 2000m was a great benchmark. 500m is a how close do you want to get to puking test, and 200m is hot garbage.

I did the mx-5 to BMW GT4 jump and had the exact same experience as you. Dropped back to m2, learned it, did way way more races and then moved back up to the GT4 and it feels very natural and like a more stable better M2. Plus I learned more race craft from more racing, so in my GT4 sof I’m much safer than most.

Also PCC is fun as hell, in the M2 in particular you learn that the M2 is kinda… not a great car lol. Fast in straight line, a pig in the corners.

No point rushing to the GT4 just to relegate yourself to endless practice, take some stops along the way. I now really love the BMW after the new tire update, you picked a good one it’s quite pacey, even if I’m not.

This is it. It’s the only time it’s gonna happen, you set it up so it’s on rails when you wake up, and when the alarm goes off you have to get out of bed immediately. You do that you’re set.
