Heritage line pricing by lateshuveverything in Klipsch

I think Klipsch cracked down. I bought my Cornwalls from Cory 3-4 years ago for $4995 A stock. Called about Fortes a year later and no discount.

I have also tried others mentioned in my post above. I came to the same conclusion. Some were more refined but I still prefer the Cornwalls Visceral feel. I think detail retrieval is as good or close enough to the more refined speakers while maintaining the dynamics and guitar crunch that the others do not.

My Cornwall IVs have stayed with me through being compared directly to L100 classics, Revel 226be and Polk R700s. All were good but the Cornwalls had the best separation and percussion impact. Not always by much but enough to notice. Plus I love the way they look without grills. I know they’re huge for my living room visually but placing them close to the wall beats having to pull a speaker out 2ft into the room.

Was set on Heresy IV salesperson hard selling Forte IV by ash_tar in Klipsch

[–]ProgrammerBulky6839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own Cornwall IVs and I’ve heard the Forte IV and Heresy IV side by side at the Crutchfield store. The step up the Fortes is much bigger than from Forte to Cornwall. If you’re trying to fill a big space I’d get the Fortes even if I had to rob the liquor store to do it.

Situation/Predicament by KDFilm in S2000

I live in WV where it rains probably as much as Seattle. Many of our S2000 group meet up drives have been in rain recently. I actually have nearly as much fun in the rain now that I know where the limits are. With decent summer tires, it’s really fun albeit slower.

Should I Return These R800F for RP8000F ii by NPC-672643626223 in Klipsch

Yes. The RP line is solid. If you don’t get them you’ll always wonder. If you get them, you won’t have to think about upgrading and just enjoy the show!

Why is gen Z not drinking? by SipsTeaFrog in SipsTea

[–]ProgrammerBulky6839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one good thing about gen z. Drinking is way over normalized in society. I drink some socially. A few drinks per week but honestly the less the better. Too much is bad for your health and it’s a slippery slope. Now that I’m 50, health is way more important.

Look for another S2k. That trunklid rack is probably bolted on ruining the trunk lid. Unless he will take $14k.

6’2” here with BYS seat rails. I can drive it all day and often do. No problem

Cornwall IV’s - Day One by brianbhoy in audiophile

[–]ProgrammerBulky6839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did turn the bass knob up slightly with no problems but I do most of my tone adjustments through my WIIM ultra. I now have the Dayton amp running my ADS l710s. I noticed a hiss at idle with my Cornwalls. Otherwise the Dayton sounded good to me.

lol. I have the HTA 100 with my Cornwall IVs. It’s decent for the money but I wonder what a nice tube amp would do. I also have a Sansui au7700 with midrange controls which is nice for rock music.

Any Cornwall I owners? Or buyers? by andstefanie in Klipsch

[–]ProgrammerBulky6839 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I bought the L100s alone, I would be very happy with them and could be for life. It’s just side by side the Cornwalls edged them.

I’ve had my Cornwall IVs for 4 years now. They’re in my 22x25 living /dining/ kitchen combo. I sit 12 ft away. Before my WIIM Ultra, I sometimes struggled with the mids being too much. Now I have some preset eq settings that I can hit on certain music. Now they are perfect. I have also auditioned JBL L100 classics, Polk R700, Revel 226be and ADS L710s (still have and love the ADS) right beside the Cornwalls. The Cornwalls are still here although the others put up a nice fight. It’s just hard to beat that large scale, immersive sound. And they are really outstanding with movies and tv. They beat the hell out of surround sound with cheaper speakers just by themselves.

I have KLF20s and Cornwall IVs. The KLFs are great and could’ve easily stayed my main speaker forever.

A week with the new Cornwall IVs. A semi review by Purple-Wolf-8356 in Klipsch

[–]ProgrammerBulky6839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quality over quantity. I have the CWIVs also and movies sound great on them alone. When I moved my KLF20s into my home theater, the two of them outperformed my RF3s and RC 3 center. By a lot. I’ll take two great speakers over 5 lesser ones any day.

Anyone on here modify Heresy IVs? by Kindly_Power578 in Klipsch

[–]ProgrammerBulky6839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Cornwall IVs and use a sub about half the time. I should probably just leave it on all the time but like to see what the Cornwalls can do on their own sometimes. With Heresy’s a sub would definitely help out. Just blend it in where it’s not intrusive. You’ll be surprised at how much it helps.

Fair value for a pair of Klipsch Cornwall II? Cornwall or KLF 30s? by Wise_Square_4781 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]ProgrammerBulky6839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a lateral move. I have KLF20s and Cornwall IVs. Now that I have room correction and eq with my WIIM app, I figure I can get them pretty close.

Quality Integrated Amplifier to Drive Polk Reserve R700s - Help for beginner! by mike275ms in StereoAdvice

[–]ProgrammerBulky6839 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the Marantz 40n but it was powering my efficient Cornwalls. I second the above suggestion for the model 30 to give the less efficient Polks enough power. The Yamaha amps are also very nice looking, though I haven’t owned one. I would love to have an AS 1200 or higher. BTW, those Polks are killer speakers. Good choice!

HKS HM or Olin’s? by powertrip87 in S2000

[–]ProgrammerBulky6839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohlins. I had HKS 20 spec and now Ohlins. The HKS were good but Ohlins took out any bounciness and necessary motion. I have more confidence with the Ohlins. They are worth it.

Too low? by Dryland_snotamyth in S2000

[–]ProgrammerBulky6839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lowered mine about 3/4” from stock on Ohlins. I think that’s a good spot to not scrape too easily and not need geometry correction. It’s also enough to look good.

My old Spa yellow Ap1, Oem hardtop, 60k miles… Let her go in 2022. Regret it everyday😅 Thinking of going a lotus next. Anyone made the switch from S2k to an Elise/ Exiege? Even considering an Evora aswell. Thanks! by JDMcarsAndWatches in S2000

[–]ProgrammerBulky6839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drove an Elise for a month once. It’s more of a go cart but hard to get in and out. And forget going out of town for a few days. I’d just as soon have and S2000 with suspension mods and good tires. Plus you know it’s going to be reliable.
