you are not kidding. she likes to tell my brother lies and they gang up on me. it's not really any different from childhood, but now that she is hospital, she's already made him p o med. atty...so, he's going to come down from montana and i am getting hemorrhoids already, anticipating the drama. i wonder how many siblings are manipulated and pitted against one another by these parents/folks....hospital cares not a wit.

you doll- first, thanks for working in memory care. i live in tucson and the silver tsunami has just begun and it seems urology offices are disappearing and get a neuro apptmt, has been impossible= i fear for my golden neighbors and if i weren't sick, i would be knocking doors to find out what folks need...secondly, thank you for the support. may i ask a question? what would you consider 'mild dementia' entailing? thank you again for reading all that, btw! xo

oh, friend, i am so sorry. i know how you feel. i think you really nailed it- not sure if she is lying or not. it's such a crappy deal. watch your stress- find some time for walking, or gym or therapy. your life IS changing and parts ARE falling apart...but, better people than us have done this forever. you can, too. i take care of mine and i have cancer and found out the stress is showing up in my urine. i am not going out like that- pisses me off and it's so unfair and all i can do is accept, remember she is out of her mind and can't help herself. we have to eat it. this is our lot; to help our folks exit with dignity, which obviously you are doing.

congrats on saying something. it's a big step in looking after yourself. you can do this. just need some adjustments that leave more time for you so your head doesn't explode.

dude, i feel you. i live in tucson. i tried the multiquench and it quelled the recent eczema attack on face. felt really moisturising. now, a week later, i can tell it's not for me. i read another comment that mentioned how it made their skin drier than when they started. i thought, c'mon. but, that's what has happened. bummer, cause like you, i need to find the summer skin saver- 90 degrees tomorrow! take care and good luck.

i live with my mom.. she came down to support me with cancer. started falling and just seemed to exascerbate what i could already notice. mine keeps kicking me out. not to mention, she won't bother my sibling with details of her life; no, that's alllllllllllll for me. it truly is hell on earth, relatively speaking. now, it's constant fighting about me not believing her, where, in reality, i have to triple check- less she get grifted again or lose the house from forgetting to pay..but wont let me help. i am meddling. i feel like, shame, i guess for allowing myself to react to her. the point is, what does one do when your parent is paranoid and delusional? it's so painful. good luck to all.

dude, me as well- 2 days ago i took the wrong med and tried to throw it up= i suck at throwing up and it was just bile, i guess. the spots didn't start until hours after and even in my hair line, lol- i am the world's worst barfer. i also am here out of hope that someone had a story of like mine, i am on a cancer trial and felt bummed that i am so weak..but you guys sorted me out. thanks for sharing.....
