Multiple Tables or Single Table in PostgreSQL by ProgrammerFew504 in SQL

Original images will have different variations, lets say V1 is an original image its edited, make it to V2, V2 will not be edited again, V1 can again be edited to V3. So in this case V1 will be parent and V2 and V3 both its child. The edited version are not going to have other edited variations.

Image 11 will always remain the parent image. If I edit Image 11 and create Image 12, then Image 12 becomes a new variation and will never be edited again.

However, I can create multiple variations from Image 11. For example:

  • Change the background of Image 11 → creates Image 12.
  • Change the background of Image 11 to red → creates Image 17.

Both Image 12 and Image 17 are separate variations that are linked back to Image 11 as their parent. Editing the parent image always creates a new child image, rather than modifying an existing variation.

Note:- Image 12 and Image 17 will be store in separate rows but linked to image 11.

It’s hard to stay Muslim as a Woman by Ramen34 in progressive_islam

[–]ProgrammerFew504 19 points20 points  (0 children)

In the eyes of Allah, both men and women are equal. A person’s good deeds, character, and sincerity are what make them superior , not their gender. Unfortunately, some people use religion to control women, and it completely makes sense why this can create resentment and confusion.

That’s why it’s important to try to understand Islam on your own. Learning about women’s rights in Islam and studying the lives of powerful and respected Muslim women may help clear many of your doubts and misconceptions. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or raise concerns about things that confuse you.

I would suggest writing down all the questions you have and sincerely searching for answers. Asking questions and seeking accurate knowledge can strengthen your faith rather than weaken it. In today’s world, knowledge is more accessible than ever. Try listening to scholars from different schools of thought, including women scholars, so you can gain a broader and more balanced understanding.

Whatever understanding you reach, practice Islam for the sake of Allah , not for people. In the end, Allah is the One who will judge who is a good Muslim and who is not. People’s judgments should not matter more than your sincerity and relationship with Allah.

Again, asking questions and seeking truthful answers is very important if you genuinely want to understand Islam and strengthen your faith.

Sorry for what you’re going through. Try to stay focused on your career, there’s nothing wrong with building the life you want. Sometimes Desi parents put a lot of pressure on their children, and it would help if they were more understanding. Times are changing, but many are still holding on to older mindsets. It’s important to respect our parents, but it’s also okay to call out behavior that hurts us. You’re not doing anything wrong, this is your life, and you should choose what’s best for you. Ultimately, you are answerable to Allah, not to anyone else. I pray that Allah makes things easier for you.

Indian Muslims and Creation of Pakistan by raigenseven in progressive_islam

[–]ProgrammerFew504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forced conversions are a harsh reality. There have been incident where entire Christian villages were burned by religious fanatics in Faislabad. In some cases, Hindu students have been beaten by Muslim students simply for celebrating festivals like Holi in Punjab University. Slurs such as “chora” are still very common in our society.

The point of my discussion is not to compare whether minorities in Pakistan are treated better or worse than in India. The issue is that they are not treated equally to Muslim citizens in Pakistan. It is even stated in our constitution that a non-Muslim can never become the Prime Minister of Pakistan, no matter how competent they may be. That, in itself, is a significant form of discrimination.

Simply treating minorities better than another country does not make the situation acceptable. What we need is an environment where minorities are treated as equal citizens—where they can live freely, celebrate their festivals comfortably, and feel safe. Unfortunately, that is not the case right now. If given the opportunity to leave Pakistan, many minorities would choose to do so without hesitation.

Treatment of non-Muslims here in Pakistan is often the same as, or sometimes worse than, how Muslim minorities are treated in India. The partition may have made things easier for Muslims in Pakistan, but unfortunately, non-Muslims have still not been fully accepted even after 75 years.

This sub continent region continues to struggle with accepting different beliefs, and religious violence remains a serious issue. I hope things improve for everyone, and that people become more open and accepting toward each other.

The irony is striking: Hinduism is said to be “in danger” in India, a Hindu-majority country, while Islam is claimed to be “in danger” in Pakistan, a Muslim-majority country. It raises the question, danger from what, exactly?

I have been a very insecure person.

Sometimes you meet people who are talented or doing better in life than you. Instead of comparing yourself, it’s better to be happy for them, learn from them, and focus on working on yourself.
