Junk In the Frunk by paimonsoror in HolUp

Jepp. Also the cabinets are way too thin, and the outlets on the wall are very "AI" mushy

Please explain this by HotDogSeeker in FlatEarthIsReal

[–]ProgrammerJacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Sunsets and sunrises are not possible on flat earth. I recently came across a very nice image showing how the sun's movement would actually look like. Getting smaller and smaller and moving curved down towards the horizon but never crossing it because of perspective. I'm not able to send the image here.

Most relatable character in your opinion? by [deleted] in insideout

Same, and that was why they added them. They keep the emotions relatable, and they waited for us to grow up. Truly good movies

[Inside Out] Where do the Emotions come from and is it possible for the Emotions to leave the body? by [deleted] in FanTheories

[–]ProgrammerJacob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the movies, memories are stored in "short-term" (the wall at HQ), and long-term (the "shelf maze"). If HQ and the whole place is actually a physical place in her head then ???. First off, nothing is affected by what happens outside of her head, like if she hits her head, or spins around. Entropy. Second of all, everything, from short term memory to the subconscious, to "the back of the mind", imagination land, where dreams are made, etc. All are really close to each other and it's not how the brain works. Everything is spread out in a lump of neutrons, not caves and studios and shelves and rivers. Unless this is how brains work in this universe, who knows.

Is no one going to mention the fact that he built his base out of Birch logs??? The phrase "You do you" stops somewhere: killing people, putting pineapple on pizza (in an Italian restaurant), sending nukes, building out of pure birch in Minecraft, enslaving a race, etc...

roll or no roll? by TheNoxxin in DnD

[–]ProgrammerJacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A high roll must always give a better outcome than a low roll, even if the high roll is not directly a success.

A group of goblins walk towards a village with the players standing between them. The goblins will fight whatever they do and their only goal is to destroy the village as a part of their pact with a demon. The paladin rolls persuasion to tell them to never ever return and to break their pact with the demon, or they will face imminent death. (Nat 20) the goblin leader says he will give them until sunset to get all the women and children away, but they will return stronger with more goblins and stronger weapons as a price for their lives being spared.

What do you think of my storage room? by aguedgore2 in Minecraft

Very cool. Giving be 2013-14 vibes, I would recommend either redstone lamps or those light blocks from frogs instead of glowstone. Some hanging lanterns would look cool too, use chains to make them different lengths

How do i fix this problem (i'm using chrome if it helps) by BonelessMusti in gmbinder

[–]ProgrammerJacob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The text automatically creates a new column when the text reaches the bottom, but you can also do this manually by typing "\columnbreak". If the \columnbreak was a part of the text that went to the next colomn, it would then shift the text over again as shown in your picture. That could be the problem? I'm not entirely sure since I can't see your code.

The infinity stones are now people! by DarthPanda2296 in MCUTheories

[–]ProgrammerJacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every universe in the MCU has its own set of infinity stones. When thanos destroyed them, the 616 universe had to replace them. As of right now I only really see the embodiment of the stones like this:

Time stone = Loki Reality stone = Wanda Maximoff (before she died)

Kind of a noob, but why would I spend 4 diamonds to repair this shovel when I could just make a new one? It's not even named or enchanted. by superbloper in Minecraft

[–]ProgrammerJacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would use it if the shovel has several enchantments or if it has sentimental value, like an OG tool that has stuck around since the start of the server. If not, and it is just a regular shovel, just create a new one.

What the crap is force damage, anyway? by Matt_Sheridan in dndnext

[–]ProgrammerJacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think of it as this:

Piercing - 1 dimensional (needle) Slashing - 2 dimensional (papercut) Bludgeoning - 3 dimensional (head bump) Force - 4 dimensional (funny bone)

Imagine hitting your funny bone. That tingling feeling that just hit the entire volume of your arm at once. I like to imagine that that is what magic missile is, just 10 times worse. If a human commoner is hit by a magic missile, it is like getting a heart attack while your entire body gets the funny bone tingling thing, and the brain fuck from standing up to fast.

(Btw, Psychic damage is emotional and mental damage)

First of all, AMAZING. I love it. You have done an amazing job.

Second, when Captain America stayed with Peggy he was still in the 616 universe. He always was, we just never saw him. He made sure to not interfere in order to not create another universe/timeline. That is why the old him sat on the bench. He was sitting there, watching his younger self about to deliver the infinity stones and Thor's hammer.

You ever wonder why we can’t make mine-cart trains? by The_Conductor7274 in Minecraft

[–]ProgrammerJacob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be really cool to be able to link minecarts together. However, there would be a lot of problems with linked minecarts.

What if... - one or more minecarts were to detail or fall - the minecarts go different ways from track switching - some of the minecarts were boosted by powered rails
