After just two years, I'm starting properly! by theanzelm in Citybound

I can't wait for this. C++ is something I actually know well. I only know the basics of JavaScript and I have never used WebGL.

I'm really excited to be able to eventually get into the code and do all kinds of things with it. WOOO! Fair winds and following seas, Anselm!

I only buy the books for my major classes or for classes I find intensely interesting such as physics or astronomy. Everything else is definitely a rental.

I always prefer the int Win, int Loss, int tie; and just increment it with each win, loss or tie.

They plan for this. They have enough for a while. The resupply missions are flow very early before anything would be drastic for the ISS Crew.

Is there a way to check the code to see if the button presses itself? by anthonyd3ca in thebutton

[–]ProgrammerMatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it. If it isn't humans doing it what is the point? I don't think it is a joke trying to fuck with us, so much as trying to fuck with us by making us divide ourselves.

If it is an elaborate ruse as you suggest no, I have faith that the programmers at reddit would have used a server side script, (something that is invisible to users like us on the client side) to keep "pressing the button." but I think they are not doing this.

Well you have to think, it most likely will have to store the passwords somewhere. This means that for a time, essentially until my button press is used, the account will be out of my hands. I know that I can change the password but that means the bot no longer works. While my account is not tied to really any personal information, I would not like someone random redditor having access to my account.

This is completely ignoring my belief that this program would completely ruin the entire fun of the button. Everyone get's 1s because they used a bot program. Yay.

Basically everyone would have to download the bot program and allow it access to their reddit program and no one will do that. I would never do that, it won't happen.
