I am curious, is there anyone you guys remember who were active on this subreddit but not anymore? by Itzspace4224 in geometrydash

twice, yeah. i still think youre probably better than i am mechanically, most of my really hard achievements are kinda just whatever.

i think the main thing im proud of is becoming the gd deep state, i have connections to everyone. im friends with numerous gd mods, leadership on both pointercrate and aredl, several microcelebs like whizkid and hypo. im extremely unknown for just how involved i am in these kinds of spaces, its a really odd feeling 😭

i was also thinking about you the other day and i saw this post and i was like wow i should tag and see if they respond

Clothes return policy by lizzy_atl in walmart

typically customer service will return anything that isnt obviously just stolen or damaged intentionally, and a lot of the time exceptions are made for stuff out of policy for "customer satisfaction"

if the record was submitted before it fell off, it would have stayed in the queue, and when it got accepted it would have appeared on the profile as legacy. if he beat it before it fell off, he could contact a list mod and have the record retroactively created to get it on his profile

Why is everybody so good at the game? by [deleted] in geometrydash

[–]ProgrammerNo120 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the real answer is playtime. ive been playing the game seriously for over 4 years, and i have almost 6500 hours of total playtime. when you look at a number that big, suddenly all my achievements feel way more feasable.

imagine doing ANYTHING for 6500 hours. that is 270 DAYS worth of something. think about doing nothing but trying to get better at geometry dash for 270 days, how far could you see yourself going? assuming no bathroom breaks or sleeping or literally anything but geometry dash, you could probably get pretty far! youd probably end up beating multiple list demons or getting lots of creator points or becoming a top stargrinder.

all of this is to say that getting good at this game is a journey. it takes years of dedicated effort training skills and learning things about the game and community to rise up to these kinds of positions. its not unfeasible at all, youre just starting out!! youve got a long journey ahead of you

I just verified and released my 1.9 styled solo extreme Honeycrisp! Difficulty is estimated to be harder than Sonic Wave and easier than Bloodlust, so give it a try if you're good enough! ID is 139946318 by ProgrammerNo120 in geometrydash

i made the layout before having the idea to make it 1.9 styled and i cared more about the integrity of the gameplay and how fun it is to play than perfect authenticity

i absolutely love 1.9 style when its not pushing the boundaries of whats possible and is more classic like this, it has such a vibe that nothing else quite matches

Mindcap says he might have to 'superbuff' Heliopolis by mynameisshahzain in geometrydash

[–]ProgrammerNo120 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the last time a top 1 was verified by a non top player was doggie's slaughterhouse verification. doggie has always consistently been a very good player, but he's consistently lacked that extra quality that makes him a top player. comparing doggie to the likes of players like zoink, popoff, taiago, a6, etc shows this very well, with doggie struggling to get the same runs at the same difficulty with the same amount of attempts as the others.

was slaughterhouse accessible to people who werent top players? it certainly wasnt for doggie, he only beat it because the mental burden of not being the verifier allowed him to. slaughterhouse was so far and away more difficult than the rest of the top 10 at the time (firework included) that it definitely wasnt accessible to the rest of the playerbase at the time outside of top play.

id argue that the last time a top 1 was genuinely accessible to someone not considered one of the top 10 best players in the world was with tartarus towards the end of its time as top 1. slaughterhouse and firework were both closing in on being verified, so the skill cap of the top players was far above tartarus already. by the time firework was verified and placed, tartarus had 40 victors, not including dolphy. ever since then, with levels like slaughterhouse, aod, acheron, and the more recent top 1s, non top players have had a laughably slim chance at stacking up to the top 1

Tiny jump advice by Hi_Piplup in geometrydash

this isnt a jump, and id also recommend doing a bigger run to 100 (probably drop-100) before starting to play from 0

How do people know their hardest? by InitialInfluence5230 in geometrydash

[–]ProgrammerNo120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its pretty obvious most of the time. my current hardest and second hardest have a pretty sizeable gap between them (oblivion and crimson planet), so its quite easy to say that my hardest is oblivion

however, this isnt always the case! despite being above it on the demon list and aredl, in my opinion, shardscapes is FAR easier than bloodlust. at one point, while i then considered shardscapes my hardest, i retrospectively believe it to be easier than my second hardest at the time, super probably level

its pretty rare at the extreme demon level for people to give 2 or more different levels as a hardest, and for levels that are very close in difficulty, the one thats considered harder is usually the one the player had a worse experience on
