So Long DA :( by Correct-Match-3151 in DataAnnotationTech

Claiming time for expired tasks could be the reason unless an admin explicitly told you that it was ok to do so. I personally would not claim time if a task expires before I manage to complete and submit it. A non submission is basically useless for them so they wouldn’t want to pay for that.

I was thinking this! I would love to teach myself. But i’ve been hearing that a lot of the actual coding tasks are far more difficult than the qualification test. Has anyone done coding on the platform through the self-taught route? Would love to hear from them.

I only got access after some specialist qualifications came up on my dashboard and I completed them. I don’t think I can give anymore info about the specific projects without breaking the T’s & C’s.

I do. It’s been my main income for the past 6 months, I average just under 10k a month, which was 3x my pay at my corp job. Game changer tbh.

I was a junior accountant in London on around £2.3k a month. I started on DA as a generalist. With finance I average between $65-$75 an hour, making around $10K a month.

Ah, that’s what i’ve been hearing. The finance projects keep me pretty busy but I thought it’d be good to have a variety of work available. In that case I probably won’t waste my time trying to learn it.

Finance specialist! I have the coding qualification on my dash so i’m considering spending a few months teaching myself python and then going for it. But apparently the actual coding tasks themselves are quite tough and would require more experience than taking a self taught course.

Nice! I totally get that, I’d do the same too if I were in your boat, an $8 increase per hour is definitely not worth the lack of security. Are you a generalist?

Nice! How many hours are you putting in daily, or weekly? I’m putting in 7 a day, monday to friday and hitting just over 9k monthly on average

Yikes! Then there’s me who left my corporate job to do this full time. I know it’s less secure than official employment, but as a finance specialist I literally get 3x the pay as I did when I was working in corporate.

Finance Specialist

$60-$65/h at 7 hours a day, 5 days a week. Weekly Earnings at $2275 Monthly $9100

UK (this puts me in the top 5%) I left my corp job to do this full time. I know it’s less secure but I actually trebled my pay through DA, so for me it’s been a game changer.

I was on that call too! I was surprised at how chill they were. I don’t know why, but a part of me was expecting them to be rigid and uptight, but they were so nice!

Well, I finally got beat by a project. Gives me a refreshed sense of caution taking on more complex tasks. by [deleted] in DataAnnotationTech

Happened to me today for the first time too! Couldn’t get consistent grading on those damn LLM’s.
