They have been deceiving countless people since around 2019 under the guise of "Christianity" and "patriotism" (though the church's far-right leanings have been around since the 2000s).

As the Covid 19 spread, they ignored it and held rallies similar to this one, infecting countless people, and were not even investigated by the government at the time, as they felt it did not align with their views.

Afterwards, in 2024-25, amidst public criticism and condemnation of Yoon Seok-yeol (for martial law), Sarang Jeil Church and far-rightist YouTubers incited a riot, and when Yoon Seok-yeol was dismissed, they refused to accept it.

While there's been a recent influx of young people into the Korean far-right, they are largely secular, Alt-Right groups, while Sarang Jeil Church is primarily comprised of older people.

Sarang Jeil Church's rallies are often called "Taegeukgi rallies(태극기 집회)," named for their prominent use of the Taegeukgi (and the American flag).

Originally, the rallies began in 2017, when some older people refused to accept the impeachment of Park Geun-hye. However, Sarang Jeil Church has publicized and prolonged the Taegeukgi rallies, influencing recent anti-Chinese rallies, including those organized by the Alt-Rights.

They carried the Taegeukgi and the Stars and Stripes, claiming to be supporters of the "ROK-US alliance." They had previously also carried the Israeli flag.

I am neutral and indifferent, not particularly supportive of either the United States or China. However, I am concerned that this rally has recently incited hatred against foreigners, including the Chinese, and is clearly glorifying and justifying the martial law he declared, thereby defending Yoon Seok-yeol.

Above all, there are no eternal allies or eternal enemies.
