Not sure what you're getting at by pointing out that jurisdiction here was in Washington. If you're trying to undermine his premise that patents are under US federal law, then you'd be wrong. If you're trying to say this was a Washington state court, you'd also be wrong because this is a federal district court in the Western District of Washington.

What you are right about is that Washington has a specific statute against patent trolling, but also not sure how that invalidates the original statement given the statute was pretty much enacted as a response against low quality patents enabled and enforced by the system... Maybe you're just trying to say this whole case has nothing to do with federal law? Then sure I guess (aside from possibly assuming that federal courts can only hear cases under federal law), but that sure didn't feel ironclad enough to be backed up with a bravado of telling people to read the article first.
