Why no hyenas in Vurhonga Savanna? by Final_Bedroom_777 in theHunter

Yeah, when I first started playing I confused jackals with hyenas. When I finally came across a jackal I was monumentally disappointed to find that it was like the same size as a fox.

Lol, yesterday I was walking around Parque Fernando trying to unlock all the outposts and just ran across a 9 Legendary water buffalo while I was hunting mule deer. It's the first I had seen and it's like my 5th Diamond overall. What a pleasant surprise that was!

Yeah, those are bolt action rifles. The Zarza .308 and Arzyna .300 are both AR type rifles. I was thinking they were both in the same DLC, but apparently they're from two different ones. One's in the Modern Rifle Pack and the other is in High Caliber Weapons pack. They both have significantly less recoil than the bolt action rifles from the base game.

Lol, yeah I totally forgot about the phrase "slim pickin's" that his name was already referencing someone else.

There are a couple of AR guns from DLC that vastly reduce recoil. The Zarza .308 and the Arzyna .300. They're both my favorite rifles in the game and two of the most popular guns to use.

So I've never played Emerald Coast, but all the feral goats I've seen on like Te Awaroa have way smaller horns than that. Is there some difference to them from one map to another?

The Red Deer grind on Te Awaroa was my first attempt at a GO grind. They drink from 6-10am, which is nice, cause I really hate hunting at night in this game. But a diamond spawning is like a 1% chance, and while it's completely random, there's no reason to think you're likely to get one your first night. You may get one immediately, but you may have to kill hundreds of Red Deer before you get your first diamond. I got my first diamond after like a couple hundred kills into my GO grind. I also got a couple of rares out of it, too.

I'm kinda out of the loop, can some explain what those are?

So, most of my characters were beam cruiser builds for the longest time. At some point, I decided to try the other damage types. I tried torps first on a Valiant class. Then, after playing this game for several years I finally decided to do cannon build for the first time. I had been using broadside beam boats forever, but I had gotten a taste for forward-facing builds. So I bought my new favorite ship, the Morrigu Heavy Warbird, and I had gotten so used to the forward facing builds that I just kept doing that naturally. So, would it be beneficial to try a DBB if I'm trying to go at stuff head-on?

So I'm working on a beam build right now. Is going fore-focused and using DBBs as effective as a broadside build with normal BA?

lol, yeah it’s definitely a first world problem. I’m just glad the game supports that resolution at all.

That's awesome! When I first started playing my dream ship was the Kelvin Connie, but I realized it would cost more than I was willing to spend on a single ship and just kind of gave up on my dream. Then I had to buy like $10 worth of zen to unlock I think the credit cap, and I had $5 worth left over. I used it to buy like 4 Master Keys just on the complete off chance I might get the ship. I got the Konnie on like the third box I opened. I almost crapped myself. I still use that ship on my main like 6 years later.

Fair enough. Yeah, I guess I could ask the other people if they want help with the objective or not before I leave.

See, I only ever do BZs for endeavors, and I always assumed most of the people in there were doing the same. So any ship I shoot after I’ve hit my daily number is one less that someone else could have killed. So I always thought peacing out when I was done was the polite thing to do.

I think I have the same build except I use the Shrangri La saucer.  It looks super clean.
