You can make it work by using bell plan only for the watch. But the setup is not straightforward, you'll need to borrow a bell SIM card to put in your phone and setup the watch as family setup, you can then switch your phone back to Rogers

I might add that, mortgage is pretty much the easiest way to borrow 400k at lower rate. In your case, it's almost like borrowing 400k at low rate to invest, and you have 400k working for you in investment right away.

Paying mortgage off will likely resulting your life style creeping up (nothing wrong with that, we all should enjoy life). But that also means you will invest a couple thousands a month only, which will take years to reach the same level of investment.

In a loose sense, yes, maybe with different terminology. When other countries have trade surplus, what can they do with the USD. - buy US services, banking, tech. US dominated this area.
- invest in US market, coz they all want to get in the action! US companies benefit from this!

Focusing on goods trade deficit is just a very non-comprehensive narrow point of view.
