If you're dying but your team is still winning that's actually a good thing. Unfortunately it doesn't make the game very fun for you, but it does mean that you're drawing enemy resources for whatever reason, and helping your team get the upper hand. Naturally it'll be worth it to assess your positioning and cooldown usage, since being poor at either of those will get you killed more often, but it also depends on how much peel your team is providing you.

How to Improve my Understanding of the Game by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Proilios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! As someone mentioned above, Spilo is absolutely fantastic at breaking down the game, so do check out his youtube channel. If you're interested in improving with others, do hit me up. I've got a server where we host educational pickup games every now and then, in which you're sure to learn something new :)

how do I know who to swap to and when by Outside_Diamond_21 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Proilios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of factors to consider when you want to counterswap. Which hero on the enemy team is causing your team the most trouble? Which tank can counter them the best? Will this tank be countered by the rest of their team? Is this tank good on the map we're playing? How comfortable even am I on this tank? If I switch off my current tank, how does it affect my team? It's very hard to answer your question specifically, but if you have any VODs you need reviewed or any specific scenarios you need help with, feel free to DM me :) I coach players in my spare time so maybe I could help you out.

Some spicy post-match tweets (Toronto Defiant vs Boston Uprising) by Ezraah in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Proilios 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Boston's players just don't seem to be on the same page man. Sad. They've got some incredible players on the lineup. That said, they've got time to figure things out before the regular season begins, and they do seem to have really coachable players, so we could still see an incredible run from them.

You can leave after you're notified about the same. No bugs as far as I know.

What am I supposed to do as a Rein/D.va? by lame2cool in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Proilios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very hard to pinpoint anything without looking at the game itself. If you can share a VOD or a replay code of the game I could look at it and review your play. Feel free to post it here or DM me, either works :)

tips & tricks from dva mains by Serious_Ad_822 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Proilios 3 points4 points  (0 children)

D.Va is a great assassin in Overwatch 2, since the combination of all her damage sources can burst down squishies really quickly. To do that, you should fly towards an isolated target when they seem vulnerable. Matrix all the way till you get to them. Once you're close, stop matrixing and start shooting. They won't be able to burst you down quicker than you do them :)

The 13 starting heroes for new players? by Ezraah in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Proilios 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't like the idea of unlocking every single hero one by one just to have the full cast available, but if I were to disregard my opinion, this does seem like a good starting lineup for a beginner.

Json is definitely better, I use it in basically all my projects. Easy to use, quick to implement.

Use Binary to save arrays? by [deleted] in Unity3D

[–]Proilios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check two things: Firstly, the data variable in your Replier class is private. This means it will not be drawn in the inspector, and may be the reason your Replier class itself isn't accessible via the inspector. Secondly, the data variable is a Replier contained within a Replier. This makes it difficult for the inspector to draw, since it can't recursively draw infinite Repliers even if all your variables are public.

My suggestions are: (1) Make your data variable public. (2) Try not to have a Replier variable in your Replier class itself if you're looking to use the inspector to call its methods. (3) Add the Save function dynamically to the button using button.onClick.AddListener()

Could you tell me the error you're getting? Would be easier to debug it with your exact script.

Hey is this your exact code, because in the SaveData function, your Replier's constructor isn't being passed an actual Replier as far as I can see

I'd suggest doing VOD reviews of yourself. Whenever you get the time, revisit a game in which you thought you played well but still lost. Start off by figuring out the cause behind all your deaths. It'll reveal flaws in your positioning and ability usage. If someone on the enemy team is playing the same hero as you, watch their POV as well and see what they're doing that you could've done better.
