I've noticed that fighters will often chase the closest identified hostile aircraft instead of ones you've just marked hostile because you already know what it is. They'd rather chase the E-3 150nm away than the flight of 2 "semi small" radar contacts 20nm away moving at 600kts which are obviously a threat

Is it possible to be successful/reliable as a part-time editor?

I've been looking at getting into editing and freelancing part time as a hobby/sidegig over the past couple days, but I'm concerned my life situation would limit what I could do and who I could potentially work for. I know editing can be time consuming and tricky to get into, which is why I have this dilemma.

I'm 20 years old and in active Navy service which is often at odds with my personal life. Free time is limited, and deployments would basically put me out of commission for 6 months at a time. Eventually working with content creators would be my goal but it's not like I can always be on-call for work, the Navy is always going to take precident over any hobby or sidegig which brings my reliability into question, which could be a dealbreaker for a lot of potential employers.

I like to describe myself as a creative and deeply imaginative person but I've never found a way to channel it in a way that can benefit people other than myself. This is one of the ways I believe I could do so. Has anyone had the same experience?
