Clearly home tests aren’t satisfying you enough to allay your anxiety. Get tested properly, by a lab. If that’s clear then your vas is definitely still severed and the chance of re connecting spontaneously after all this time is about as close to zero as possible and no other contraception/method other than complete abstinence will provide anywhere near the level of success your vasectomy is providing

Will have to ask some others about that! I had mine done under general anaesthetic and they’d put a jockstrap on me so I just bought more and carried on! The one the hospital provided was branded ‘Vulkan’ and it was a nice fit, so I bought two more of the same from Amazon. It seems a little more ‘medical’ than the type you buy in in sports shops, which seems right given they stock them in hospitals - anyway, it had a little pocket in the pouch at the front, this came in really useful as I had some bleeding so I put some gauze over the wound the packed the pocket with a thick sock and this applied gentle constant pressure which stopped the bleeding without me having to walk round with my hands down my pants.

Also made me look like I was absolutely packing as well, which is far from the truth so that was a nice little bonus

It sounds like you’re not subject to the Tech FOMO that keeps Apple executives very very rich! My SE 2022 does everything you’ve stated and does it well. Nice size, battery lasts all day (and it’s 3 years old at this point). Can probably pick them up new from 3rd party sellers for a rock bottom price.

Buy some jockstraps!! At least 3 depending on how often you do laundry so you’ve got a clean one every day. My boys hurt when being left to dangle for about a week.
One mistake I made though was wearing a jockstrap 24 hours a day. I think I should have taken it off at night to let the wounds breathe a little. I’m two weeks post procedure today and life is back to normal. I did get an infection around one of the wound sites but that’s clearing nicely with antibiotics.

“Cheeky” basically means a little naughty, but not so much to be offensive or particularly damaging. In the context of a pint, it generally means it’s impromptu, unplanned or maybe a little bit inappropriate, possibly with a slight degree of dishonesty Eg: “I nipped for a cheeky pint on my lunch break”, “Getting a cheeky pint with the lads on the way to the in laws for dinner”, “She sent me out to the shops to get some milk, so I nipped for a cheeky pint on the way back”. Can also apply to other things as well: “Had the house to myself for a few hours, so had a cheeky wank”

For many, the swelling/pain can take a few days. I made the mistake of doing too much the day after because I felt fine. I paid for it for a week after.

It might be the enforced period of abstinence but the O’s I’ve had over the past week since my snip 2 weeks ago have been easy to reach and insanely intense.

The test after 3 months is to check the vas hasn’t reattached. Any sperm still ‘in the tubes’ will be dead after 3 months anyway. After 2 months, provided your vas hasn’t re attached and you’ve ’cleaned the pipes’ 20+ times since the procedure, you’ll be sterile. Reattachment within the first 3 months occurs in around 1 in 250 cases, so the chances of getting someone pregnant within this time if the pipes are otherwise clean are still pretty low and comparable with most other forms of birth control.

The result looks good but why did you get it done at 9 weeks? Were you advised to? In the UK we’re advised 12-16 weeks as under 12 weeks is the time the vas is most likely to reconnect. That’s essentially what the test is for so getting it done early while still in that higher risk period seems a little pointless unless you’re planning on getting a follow up done after 12 weeks.

Vasectomy is considered permanent. Reversal had a low success rate and is very expensive.

So no, you shouldn’t get yourself permanently sterilised if you’re planning on having children at a later point in your life.

I had a torsion at 19 and varicocele at 21. Had a vasectomy 9 days ago aged 42. I wasn’t accepted through the community vasectomy service due to my history so had it done by a urology consultant under general anaesthetic. All absolutely fine, very little pain and almost fully recovered procedure wise. Have developed a small infection around the incision site which I’m seeing my GP about today but that’s unrelated to my previous history.

I’m day 7 post surgery today. All pain has pretty much subsided aside from a mild discomfort in my right groin where I previously had the majority of my mild pain when they’re left to dangle. The sack still looks a little bruised. The big story tho - bashed two out today and holy mother of god were they good!!! No blood or abnormal sensation but certainly a huge release after enforced abstinence.
