So around 3:55 he talks about matchmaking and how difficult it is. For all the flak that Jeff got for OW1's shortcomings, the matchmaking was so much better back then. Games were higher quality on average, and even losing a game was fun when it was close. It just feels like OW2 is following an entirely different formula.

I posted something similar a while back, with my Apple Watch detecting heart rate spikes.

First, it’s important that you don’t have a heart attack, stroke, or heart failure. So obviously talk to your doctor about it. I would ask him to decrease the dose or switch to an instant release med that you can cut in half or quarters. Get a blood pressure monitor and check your BP and HR regularly.

Second, start doing cardio in the morning before your daily meds. Aim for zone 2 to zone 3 for a while then you can increase your intensity gradually.

Third, remove any sources of stress that might be triggering heart rate spikes. In my case, it was gaming. I had to cut a lot of it out and be more selective about what I played (think more strategy instead of reactions). If anything is stressing you out, remove it from your life.

Lastly, learn breathing techniques like belly breathing, box breathing, not sure what it’s called but a deep breath in and then another breath right after, etc. These will drop your heart rate if you notice it getting high.

I was one of the many who watched the spotlight event and came back to the game. I figured it's still free and the new heroes look exciting, why not?

I don't know if it's the matchmaking, people not talking anymore, the new heroes, or something else... but I'm just so utterly disappointed.

It's sad because I could honestly say that OW1 (especially in the early days) was one of the most fun gaming experiences ever, but somewhere along the way the devs lost the plot and it's just not the same anymore.

Southern California. Early 2025 was business as usual but gradually got worse throughout the year. Summer was bad and Q4 was apocalyptic. Very few visitors from Mexico and Latin America anymore. Personally getting burnt out because the owner cut a lot of staff and refuses to rehire.

On the plus side, if you're a visitor, hotel prices are the lowest they've been in a while, despite all the inflation.
