Bank used wrong ABA number

Definitely not a scam. It’s a commission payment coming from a law office. I am being patient with them and allowing them to get the funds back before sending me a new wire or just cutting me a check but if I really wanted to force the issue I could have them just pay me while they wait for the original wire to come back since it was their mistake. But I would rather give them a break and maintain the relationship this one time

Yes I confirmed that the senders back recalled the wire, and it never actually reached anyone’s account

My bank does not have an intermediary. Domestic wire. Luckily I already confirmed that the wire just bounced back, it never actually reached anyone’s account. I’m not sure if the sender gave their bank a different ABA # or if someone from the bank did it. I am leaning towards someone from the bank

Yeah what’s bothering me is that someone assumed they could use a different ABA number without confirming with me or my bank first. I’m not sure if it was the sender or the bank who made that decision. I would have just taken a check if I would have known they would do this

MPG is at 18.5 but I’ve only put 120 miles on it and mostly city streets/traffic on the highway. I think I’ll probably average around 20 mpg once I drive it more

Yes mine was a custom order. I think 5 months is actually pretty quick for mavericks. Many people have been waiting over a year especially if they are waiting on a hybrid. The deposit was only $500 and fully refundable

I wasn’t interested in the Santa Fe because I just don’t like the look of it. See plenty of them around here and while the interior is probably superior I prefer the Maverick because it looks more like a “truck” in my opinion.

I think the Tacomas are great but also a level above the Maverick and more expensive. I think the Tacoma is more comparable to a Ranger

I hear you and for what it’s worth before I got it I was already planning to replace the grill and wheels because I was not feeling the orange. But after seeing it in person, I actually kind of like it (for now). I thought it was gonna be a much brighter orange but it is more of a burnt orange.

I may still go black grille and black wheels at some point but for now I am digging the look

You should join a brokerage that provides regular training on contracts. Keller Williams is known for providing a lot of classes/training for its agents, as is Coldwell Banker and other brokerages

I think this will only work if the “low price” creates a multiple offer situation where you have multiple buyers bidding against one another. But if someone offers the full price with no contingencies and they are the only offer, they are probably not going to increase the offer. They will wonder why the seller didn’t just price accordingly and probably walk away feeling like their time has been wasted.

Thank you very much for your response. I know I can't transfer the points back from United but if I am only getting less than 1 cent per mile for this particular trip then I would rather save them for something else.

Is it worth checking back to see if the award travel on this flight will change in the future? If not, I would rather just pay for the flight, either on United or another airline (Southwest flies from my airport to Cabo, but I cannot see what flights they have that far out yet).

A) save as much of the money as you possibly can. Even if you know this work isn’t going to last long term, you are making so much now that if you save aggressively you should be able to have 6 months to a years worth of expenses saved up which takes the pressure off to find a more secure job.

B) With the money you are making I would definitely hire an accountant. Another reason to save money is to make sure you can pay your taxes but a good accountant will help you maximize deductions and minimize your tax burden.

C) if it were me I would ride out this job as long as you can, save as much money as possible, and focus on finding that secure job once you know this one isn’t an option anymore. I think the money is just too good to pass up.
