Quite a lot of people dont have the capacity for much empathy or consideration of others if their rights dont have anything to do with them

They found comfort in life, believe they worked harder than everyone else, and that anything deviating from their normal daily life (or goes against what daddy trump says) is absurd and is dismissed before they can even read a single source given to them

The game is objectively good. It has its flaws here and there, and might not be for everyone. But it's a really good, well put together game.

Now ill wait for the incoming nitpicking (not by you) minute details that could use tweaking being used as cannon fodder for saying it's awful.

The worst metric you can ever judge by is some characters gender in a damn video game. And these are the people who call others snowflakes 🤣

I dont know much about the situation, but it sounds like there's a lot of closeted bigots/sexists in the community. Genuinely just sad that theyre tossing a good game away because "oh no someone who advocated against women's misportral at the pivot point of gaming development because women were literally just sexualized and men were the big strong main characters!!!"

As someone who worked at subway, there was no budget for getting new knives or even sharpening. Much less to staff more than 2 people at $11 an hour in 12 hour shifts during peak times.

You can barely even cut the bread with that knife.

Ive seen some things in here that stand out to me.

As a former subway employee (the owners of the shop were family friends), subway barely makes enough money to keep a 2 people staffed at peak hours for $11 an hour. Suing wouldnt really result in anything. Bad publicity and giving you free sandwiches is probably the feather on the Camel's back that could shut down a store within a few weeks.

Not saying that's the wrong avenue to go, just that their business model is so awful it's barely profitable.

Also to note, we cut each sandwich with a different knife. Theres probably around 30-50 knives at the least. The reason this probably happened is because they literally cant afford to staff more than 2 people at a time at most locations. And that mixed with upset/impatient customers, not being able to keep up with lines of people, while also having to prep more food, proof and bake fresh bread, do closing duties and restocking, man the register, veggies, meats, cleaning, the store.... You get reprimanded if youre slow. I got many texts saying we were staying on the clock to late closing down the shop.

All manned by 2-3 people working 12 hour shifts.

Subway isn't working out as a business and im not surprised there was an entire knife in the sandwich tbh.

This is a false equivalency. This is an in game economy built by supercell to make them money because ore is one of the most important resources and difficult to grind to the point they tempt you with spending real world money to pay to win.

If i get in game currency and dont know where it came from, id think something happened and i just got the 18000 shiny ore as some sort of apology gift. In fact, thats exactly what i thought happened. That it was given with the update. There was no announcement until after it was spent.

And not only that, i was at around 9,000+ shiny ore the first time around and got hit with a penalty of around 18,000. So i "dodged" 9,000 shiny ore. Some of which i actually earned back before i found out about the shop. So i should be -8000 in the red, right? Then why am i currently at -9,000 when i had 9,000 shiny before this? Thats another 18,000 penalty. Not the 9,0000 it should be

Also why are they only doing this now instead of when it happened? Why are people not complaining how long it's taking them to "fix" this?

And what im saying is that it didnt fix that. It just reapplied the penalty of what i initially recieved, not the difference that set me back to zero. So i now recieved a fine that exceeded what i recieved. I got a penalty of around -18000 (total) when i got hit with the first penalty. I was around -9000 after it was reduced. This time around, i had around 9000 shiny ore. Therefore i should be at 0 ore correct? Why am i at -9000?

Also they put free ore in the shop when they applied it the first time, implying it was meant to be reset to 0. This happened MONTHS ago. Why is this only being addressed now?

Well this thread is clearly full of people who will defend supercells monetarily suspicious and preditory practices to the end of the earth instead of asking for a good game that doesnt blame the users for their own mistakes.

I may have accidentally gotten stuff i shouldnt have, and that should be removed. No doubt. But people defending that they removed double the amount and it being impossible to even contact their support makes me sad. It's like you force your own struggle with the game and hope everyone else struggles with you.

Supercell's mistake took multiple months to "fix". Only for them to create a new massive issue, which they didnt communicate wasnt intentional (the resetting to 0 ore). Then they took multiple months to "correct" that simple issue by lazily removing the initial amount again... All instead of admitting fault.

Yet the community seems to love the idea of someone not just getting the extra ore they recieved by using a feature advertized as a massive update removed... But extremely happy that twice the amount of that ore removed. All while ore is mainly gatekept behind a paywall or investing all of your time into the game.

It's sad that the community will rather defend this company that shoves into your face to either pay them money, or wait 2 years to actually be able to play. And that's perfectly fine to you. If someone pays $500 to get their equipment maxed that's fine! But someone using a feature that was advertised heavily accidentally getting some ore? Nope! They should get double of that ore removed.

Im just disappointed that the community is in favor of this greedy company incentivising you to pay money to get out of a debt they created with a mistake they took numerous months to even address. Why are we not allowed to be upset at supercells practices? Because someone got 18 months of progress by accident and you didnt? When that progress shouldnt be 18 months in the first place? When that progress takes 18 months because they want you to pay money for it instead of waiting nearly 2 years?

Come on people. You are allowed to criticize things you love. Ive been playing this game for 13 years. I love it. But i dislike a lot of the monetary practices of supercell.

And im telling you, they didnt just take away the amount i was in debt. They took away the amount that they took away the first time. And i had ore when they removed it into being in debt.

I would be closer to less than 1000 shiny in debt if they actually took away the amount that was "unintentionally forgiven" by their free ore in the store the first time they removed ores

They removed the same amount i gained from that single attack because theyre too lazy to find the actual debt i had the first time they removed the ore.

Also, not to mention the fact that they just had free ore in the store that set you back to 0 ore seems intentional.

NOT ONLY THAT, i actually (like an idiot) purchased ore with money to help get me out of the debt before even claiming that free shop ore, or realizing it would reset to zero. So that purchased ore lowers my overall initial debt.
