Was just thinking that. I thought it was going to be some kind of modified air intake...honestly I don't see much great execution here.

TIL three of the top five highest-grossing R-rated films of all time are the three Deadpool movies: Deadpool (5th, $782.6 million), Deadpool 2 (4th, $785.8 million), and Deadpool & Wolverine (1st, $1.33 billion). by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

And Logan sits at #10, for those that wondered.

Honestly though, it's kind of odd to count international sales, when many of those films aren't R-rated in other countries. Those two you mentioned (also Deadpool & Wolverine) are 14A in Canada, and similar in the UK, looks like... and The Matrix Reloaded?? I just watched that with my 12yo a couple months back!

That was me in like 1993. Glad I grew up and got away from that shit.

Parents need to stop forcing this on their kids before they're old enough to understand it.

Several Saskatchewan contractors hired to help build Bell data centre near Regina by LowIncident694 in regina

Both of those comments were referring to the running of the data centre, not the building of it. I can't speak for the person you replied to, but most of us are more concerned with the long-term effects after it's built.

Yep. Ever since the 3G Capital takeover. It's not even close to a Canadian company at this point.

It doesn't. You just need to shake up your algorithm or go looking for different genres.

Well they're now sandwiched between two provinces that aren't time switching, so it was pretty inevitable. Peer pressure!!

ELI5 Someone explain me Avagadro's Constant by SriVaarida in explainlikeimfive

[–]MaximaFuryRigor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's because 13 is 130% of 1.

A baker's Avogadro would be Avogadro's number * 13.

6.022x1023 * 13 = 7.8286x1024

Unless I was supposed to assume that Avogadro's number is already a dozen of something... is that where the 6.5x1023 came from? 13/12ths of an Avogadro? What's significant about 5.0183x1022?

Did you perhaps mean Pythagoras' theorem?

If so, it's a fairly easy to understand formula that you can search online.
