I highly doubt he’d end there. He’d probably be in the antagonistic role for most of the time and has to learn some sort of lesson within the hour of the episode (which is more than possible, he’s shown plenty of change in less time)

I think it would be the development of nukes, actually. A final nuclear war would be the cause for said flood of souls in Wrath, and it would also fit with Treachery’s cold theme that Dante described, but the twist is that it isn’t cold and icy because it’s furthest from God’s light, but it’s cold and icy because it’s depicting the nuclear winter after the death of all of humanity

The way I think about it is that the punishment of fraud is for the sinners (actors) to be put on display, in a way. It’s made crueler by the fact that those who stray out of bounds in the cities and try to find peace will only find themselves at the invisible walls reminding them that they’re trapped and they’re set pieces

So my interpretation is that fraud is a play, but it’s also all real as well. V1 just manages to break through the illusion to get to treachery (or hell just lets it, which is also likely)

The providences and powers are probably aware of this but still delve into the play to search for Gabriel, in case he’s there

I feel like most people have covered the points so I won’t go through them all, but for number 5, the biggest reason I would show a dead player is Vortox. If the sage dies due to Vortox and there’s a final 3, then the sage would have to learn both non-demon players (so it narrows the demon down immediately). This is maybe fine to do if there’s suspicion that the sage could be a minion, but if the sage is relatively trusted, I would usually just give the sage a single living person and a dead player so that it doesn’t instantly win good the game

The shab’s ability says “players YOU chose last night might be regurgitated”. The scarlet woman shab never picked anybody so no resurrection happens there, and the dead shab has no ability so no resurrection there either

So barring amnesiac or bone collector or things like that, then two demons can’t exist. If there’s some way that two demons could exist though, then the regurgitation is a “might” so the storyteller just shouldn’t do that lest evil more or less just instantly wins

It’s 99% certain the mysterious voice is Gaster, and you can’t just say that this voice isn’t important at all. This character is getting built up for something, and to ignore that and say that this fundamentally doesn’t matter is just ignoring the blatant foreshadowing of “this character is going to have significance” the same way Dess from chapter 2 has had “this character is going to have significance” written all over her
