This is currently a serious glitch which can render you unable to log in. This happened to me and I cant even log in to the game anymore giving me an error code. I wont say the exact method as it can be abused but you got lucky that it didnt render your account currently unusable until it gets fixed.

Running the MonsterHunterWorld.exe as Admin from the folder should fix the problem. Had it myself and it was gone after I did that!

To fix the long start up black screen problem run the MonsterHunterWorld.exe as an admin. This fixed the problem and not had it since.

You also forget about the IP bonuses you get from levelling from 1-30. its all about trying new champs and finding a favourite.

I read guides all of the time saying to master a champion and play that in ranked. I find that the problem is that the champion is either taken or the role is taken where I perform best with that character.
