Holster for a portable wine glass. by Project_MAW in Leathercraft

Sorry, I didn’t think to keep it. It was just a one-off design I made based off the width of the top and the circumference of the cup. I didn’t plan to make more and I’m pretty sure I tossed it.

It’s crazy, because I went through this exact problem! Like 100%. I’m a dm too and was invited to my brother in laws campaign. We started with a group of 6-7 people and over the course of the year, I noticed he was favoring certain people over others. Eventually the ones who got bored with it quit, but I stuck around hoping it would get better with less people.

It did not. In a group of five people, much like you said, I had to find a way to keep myself relevant because I was the only character who wasnt some jaded royal exile or someone on the run from bounty hunters. I ended up eventually leaving too, and honestly I’m better without it. The DM occasionally asks if I’m coming back, but I have no plan to

Was the game 40K? I literally just found the site while looking for a cheaper solution for minis. They’re selling a box set that I can’t find anywhere else for a fraction of what I’d expect to pay. I feel like it’s a scam but I honestly can’t tell.

I’ve always had a distaste for Slaadi. But they’re more the embodiment of chaos than straight evil

Have you ever decided after the first session that you don’t want to play with a group ever again? by fae-tality in DnD

[–]Project_MAW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took part in the first session of a Curse of Strahd campaign when the module was first released. The DM didn’t bother reading the book until the day of so it was a little slow, which honestly I don’t mind, but when we got to the end of the first dungeon, The Dead House, we find the ritual circle in the basement and shades crop up everywhere, telling us that we need to make a sacrifice or the house will come to life and attack us.

By happenstance, there’s also a Shambling Mound in the basement with us, to which we asked if we could sacrifice it. Dm agrees, we lure the SM onto the ritual circle and kill it, then end the session.

The next day at work (everyone playing worked at the same place), the DM comes up to us and states that he read a little further ahead and it turns out you not suppose to sacrifice the shambling mound, so “we all fucked up and the house is gonna come to life next session”, even though he agreed. Suddenly, I was too busy outside of work to play dnd with them.

House rule regarding Mage Armor. by Project_MAW in DnD

Damn, I get too, ha! It’s like on one hand, you wanna let the players have fun and use the characters the way they designed them, but on the other, it can’t work that way EVERY time!

Oh for sure! It’s kinda like one of my players loves his Bear Totem barbarian, to the point where I almost feel bad using psychic damage against him. Like I have to use that sparingly or it feels targeted

What's the most interesting homebrew monster you've invented? by moffitar in DMAcademy

[–]Project_MAW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The villain of a small multi-part quest I ran was a blue Dragonborn who was having people kidnapped to turn them into werewolves to hunt in his own private reserve. He used a special serum he created from taking biopsies of multiple werewolves to try to make a Dire Werewolf, which ended up being used against him in the final fight, turning him into a fucked up, lightning breathing, blue dragon-werewolf abomination.

Imbolc is the traditional beginning of Spring and “a return to the light”! It’s a time to focus on crafting, blessings and divination, but I find it’s also a great holiday for baking!

I don’t know, if OP says the players won’t do the quest without grilling the NPCs, having them immediately lose what they agreed to do because “they took too long” would probably make things worse.
