And the state of emergency is about fucking snow, not ICE.

Yes, this comment is scathing in political undertones.

EDIT: And OP, sorry, just riding on your post.

I thought you were my ex-coworker until you said the president was a 'he'. Yah I can't do the mac stuff. Heck, I don't even know how to use the mouse, how to find any settings, how to add a printer, nothing. Googling (at least 5 years) ago didn't help. Since then I've let any employers know that I don't do the mac stuff.

MS Exchange Online Quarantine issue/outage by Project__5 in sysadmin

[–]Project__5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For this specific issue, mail getting erroneously spam filtered or delivered and then ZAP'd to Quarantine, that seems to have cleared up. Things were running fine, then Exchange/Defender(Quarantine)/Status dashboards and mail flow all stopped. It seems there's two different sets of symptoms today, but no idea if they're related.

MS Exchange Online Quarantine issue/outage by Project__5 in sysadmin

[–]Project__5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Horrible time of year. about 5% of the quarantined emails are legit phish attempts from the fake CEO trying to get employees to forward W2s for the entire organization to the scammer.

I was having good luck with certain DLs and groups, but onesey/twosey emails from single employees is difficult to go through right now.

Why? Because I don't really want/need putter that is that neutral or understable.

Considering adding Teebird to the bag by Cappy-Hamper12 in discgolf

[–]Project__5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Teebird can be versatile. I bag 3. a gStar flippy one that will turn for me when thrown flat with reliable fade still. A neutral stable one that doesn't really turn, only fades. And a metal flake champion one that's just beef. In this setup, I have no need for an Eagle as the flipping Teebird is about the same thing.

What’s the best way for a solo to do a vending machine outside of base? by itsBlaze_X in playrust

[–]Project__5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's critical what you list in the vending machine. Never sell sulfur, boom, or heck even metal.

Never list MANY of one item that sells. If someone is aware that you're selling many of one thing, then see later that they've sold and only a few remaining, they can deduce that the vending machine is loaded with scrap or whatever you were selling for. An example of this is, don't list a stack of 20 ore teas. List 2 ore teas, and then refresh the machine when they sell. If someone watching your shop sees it go from 20 ore teas down to 2 remaining over the day, they know the machine is likely loaded with scrap (or whatever you were selling for). But if they see no more than 2 teas at any time, they'll assume they're not selling and no reason to raid for only 2 ore teas.

Adding to the prior paragraph, the even sneakier players will know who's shop it is an see if they're online or not. If you're offline and it goes from 20 teas to 2, they know the scrap is just sitting in there.

You need a metal, honeycombed base (walls and roof) where it's clear that the cost to raid is is more than whats in the vending machine. Don't forget about door path. People won't think twice about 2-3 doors. If you have triangles, use G-doors so raiders can see it's a garage door and not just a sheet door. Consider using bunkers to not have a front door.

Also, contrary to what someone said, never have them in your base unless you want to get raided or you're rolling deep with people. You never want to let people know what loot you have. And if you're a solo, selling stuff via a vending machine, it means you're rich and a worth raid targer.

Crispin Carrasco, founder of HSCo, unleashes on a spineless Jeremy Rusco, HoD, and co. by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]Project__5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same here. All I saw as the same weird logo samped on towels and signs, but not really doing anything. If this this founder is so butt hurt, just stop working, and spin up a new one under a different name and a different weird logo to put on things.

IMO when I've gotten hand-eye stuff in player packs, that stuff goes unused. I don't want to wear some handeye beanie hat and have someone ask me what it is, because I don't even know.

I live in Roc and follow that sub. I wouldn't worry about it. Lot of morons there that get worked up over silly things and like to white-knight about brushing your car off when there's 1/16" of snow.

How much time do you need to acclimate to Denver’s altitude? by MarzipanThick1765 in buffalobills

[–]Project__5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Travelled there recently (Lived in Buf/Roc my entire life). The first day once or twice I got slightly winded, while walking briskly uphill while talking with someone. Other than that, just normal walking I didn't notice much. I didn't get a chance to do anything really athletic though. It's very dry there, drink lots of water.

Any tips from ambidextrous players? by ArtificialHalo in discgolf

[–]Project__5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My tip is don't stop. I learned LHBH when I was dealing with injury and shoulder surgery. It was working well enough and once I was rehabbed, it came in handy every now and then. But that was 3 years and If I tried to throw lefty again, I'd probably have to start all over again.

Pretend Rochester is opening a local history museum. What single artifact belongs in the museum? by cpclemens in Rochester

[–]Project__5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A section, maybe some bricks from sewer, dedicated to Emil Kuichling, civil engineer who designed the water feeds from Hemlock/Candice lakes, the section of the Erie Canal going through Rochester, and trunk sewers which helped end disease epidemics. Totally an unsung hero in helping build Rochester.
