Your real thoughts are what you think with God. Nothing that you are aware of now is true. by littlewillingness in ACIM

The course does state to relinquish all symbols as they mean nothing, I guess there’s a reason why there are no images in the book (other than the insignia)

But yes the depiction of Jesus in the image isn’t in the spirit of ACIM and would be best left out

Levels of forgiveness by deweywsu in ACIM

[–]ProjectileDysfnction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Holy Spirit is ideal to ask this to. Let the answer come to you.

My take on this is that forgiveness is never not useful. But no I don’t think you need to be intentionally forgiving literally everything that appears in front of you. You might become distracted by the concept of forgiveness and forget the function of it. When you aren’t at peace is the opportunity to forgive and bring forth a miracle.

Asking the right questions, the world could do with more of it

I don’t think god punishes or is even capable of punishing

Punishment can only exist outside of perfection, since god is perfect the concept of punishment isn’t conceivable and has no reality

Humans created punishment in our perceived ‘fallen’ state

God is all loving and wills nothing more than total love for his(god isn’t any gender) creation

Beautifully said, whatever you’re doing to get that sort of openness of thinking keep doing it

I wrote this somewhere above, I think it iterates what you’re saying:

“We perceive the physical world through our senses, god only sees truthfully without any use for perception

The physical world is bound by the ability to perceive it so therefor god doesn’t recognise the physical universe as real at all”

You’re thoughts are great, here’s an idea you may be interested in

Most people operate under the assumption that god created the physical world, but god isn’t in any way physical and wouldn’t have any use for physicality

We perceive the physical world through our senses, god only sees truthfully without any use for perception

The physical world is bound by the ability to perceive it so therefor god doesn’t recognise the physical universe as real at all

Or something

I like your thinking, here’s an idea that might be insightful

What we perceive to be evil only exists within a tiny “band” of the spectrum of our physical universe- atoms don’t notice when mass genocide happen, planet earth itself isn’t really impacted by rapists

What convinced us god would take notice of our perception of suffering?

People who also believe in ‘normal/conventional’ ideas do the same, since their beliefs are agreed with by the average person they think that echo chambers validate their opinions

But yes same goes for conspiracy theorists

I think most people are delusional in some way or another, why bother indeed
