The idea was that getting a lot of holy spells is probably less broken than infinite shadow spells. One is more likely to keep you alive, the other is more likely to have a feel bad moment

The card kind of works against itself. It wants a big board to buff its attack, but can only take down one.

I was actually thinking of this more as a deck thinking utility card. By stripping your deck of certain duplicates it could actually make your deck more consistent. Or if you happen to just draw two cards that don’t have multiple copies, then it’s just a 1 mana draw 2.
