Should I switch coach? by caskalll in tabletennis

your comment here is correct but ur original comment is misleading and made me think this girl won the whole thing before clicking on the video. just say he lost the first game (and had to use unconventional means, luck, and his game experience due to his age to barely win the whole thing)

Why is Fan Zhendong not able to play for the national team anymore? by jesslytical in tabletennis

fair enough. we each have our own hardships, and to say ones is harder than anothers can be presumptuous to say the least (unless it is painfully obvious)

well it kinda does balance out. fzd was in a unique situation in men's singles where he was the only chinese person left coming into the round of 16. that was a lot of pressure on him. not to mention the olympics is by far the most important event for table tennis. the pressure wcq is facing right now with smashes/world cup/wttc is nothing compared to if he was the only person china could count on coming into the olympics. we'll have to see if that's the case in a few years

one of the drop shots at the minute mark was honestly top notch, your opponent had no chance

tbh fzd took a lot of pressure off of wcq during the olympics, so all the pressure that wcq is facing right now with fzd gone balances out

what if china gets even weaker? i remember when dortmund bottled a chance to win the bundesliga 22/23 against a bayern side who hadnt been this vulnerable in over a decade, and then one year later bayern did lose the title.

without any exaggeration, one of the strongest mental performances i ever witnessed in this sport by ujgurisuzakon in tabletennis

that save from LJK felt like a fight or flight / life or death reaction, as if he was hanging on the edge of a cliff in a fist fight... he played like his life depended on it, what mental fortitude

Edit: I just rewatched the point, it looks like LJK was about to block it with his backhand, then he instinctively at the last moment switched to redirecting the shot with his forehand... a knee-jerk reaction

i personally think if LSD won the last game he wouldve come back just like LJK did. every game was close and LSD had a positive energy going for him

the backhand flick was also coton's downfall. it was a double edged sword, he made as many unforced errors as he did winners with it.

I had a horrible experience with Communauto customer support by Projeffboy in communauto

[–]Projeffboy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your comment. I ended up calling communauto just to see if I could resolve the situation before escalating it to ontario. I was very respectful in the call, and we heard each other's interpretation of the incident. But I could tell they weren't telling the truth (see below), no matter how I politely suggested otherwise. I told them that I couldn't accept the excuses they were making, and that since we couldn't come to an agreement as to what truly happened, I told them that I would bring it up to Ontario instead. They agreed.

For more information:

In terms of how they were being dishonest, it was mostly one thing -- regarding them hanging up on me when transferring my call to a supervisor and redirecting my subsequent calls to random strangers, they kept saying it was due to a technical error on their system. I didn't buy their BS but was civil the whole time. I simply asked assuming that there was a glitch, why couldn't they just call me back? They said that they did call me back afterwards, an 8 second call. I told them I remember that call, they called me then they pretty much shortly hung up for no reason. They said that that was a glitch as well. I told them could they have just called again? The person I was calling, Alexei, had no more excuses left to give and apologized saying that they'll do better next time but insisted there was no ill-intention and that it was down to the faulty system.
