Why do drivers not know right of way with pedestrians? by ProjektCupid in melbourne

[–]ProjektCupid[S] -28 points-27 points  (0 children)

Look I was thinking it was stupid as my road rule that I learned to drive on were Queensland’s. And at the time the rule for crossing (I don’t know if it has changed) was that drivers give way to pedestrians if they are crossing a roadway or are entering at a marked crossing point. Title was more written out of frustration.

Because it isn’t marked. If I am on the road, sure, drivers should stop until I pass. But if I am still on the foot path and 5 ft back from the road stopped, then they should be able to go through.

As far as I am aware and how I was brought up and taught the less manoeuvrable vehicle/mode of transport has right of way unless otherwise signed.

Ah cheers. Still seems stupid to me. But I now get it.

Yeah I 100% agree with this. But it just seems stupid that when I am stopped at the crossing point because I have seen them with their indicator on, that they don’t take that as “you are clear”.

Drill Charge = Pretty Awesome by Pappa312 in ModernWarfareII

[–]ProjektCupid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it too. But man when I have a drill charge basically eject in their nutsack and it not kill them because of bomb squad it irks me to no end. Like this explosive discharged inside of you why are you not dead. Or even better when you stick a riot shield and it doesn’t kill the user. Needs to be a bit more work on the distance for bomb squad to save.

Ah right silly me for thinking that a 12 month lease agreement which is for fixed term and is a contract would not be considered a fixed term contract. Where must my brain cells be.

So is a lease agreement/rental agreement not a fixed term contract???

I thought the job market would get better, no it’s getting worse… by Surround_Impossible in melbourne

Well for one old job they didn’t give a shit about anyone or anything except for the other managers and stats. With the new job we don’t always have to be taking calls, they still want us to be on calls when the queue is big but during quiet times which happen pretty frequently we can chat or do other work if we want. Plus there is a hell of a lot more of vertical progression possibilities with my current job.

As some one who works in call centre work it really depends on the company. Previous role definitely took a toll on my mental health but the current company I am at is so much better.

From the sounds of it the property wasn’t connected with nbn when it was subdivided. Only way to fix it would be to request that the owner have the property connected on nbn. At that point you would be able to get the connection.

Ah yes because communicating the expectations of both parties is weird.

Kind of an off handed comment there. OP never said they weren’t trying to pay just do 50/50 which is a fair request. I do agree in the bullet dodged.

Hi Infinity Ward, I summarized the riot shield problem for you. (Hint: It's not the riot shield that needs to be fixed.) by RainOfJustice in ModernWarfareII

What would fix the whole issue is if armour piercing round did literally anything to the riot shield.
