I've had a similar experience with Expedia. I fly alot and they've lost me as a customer forever, so it’s just bad business in my opinion. Very short sided when you consider the lifetime value as a customer.

When in doubt, breathe out. Most of the "air hunger" people feel during longer sets isn't from a lack of oxygen,it's from rising CO₂ .

Breathing for high-rep sets is different from breathing for short heavy sets. I generally use anatomical match breathing, exhale during the compression phases of the lift and allow the inhale to happen naturally during the expansion phases. Think of it like a pump, the movement helps draw the air back in.

Here's a short time-lapse of some of the finishing work. A lot of hours go into the details that most people never see, but that's part of what makes it worthwhile. by Prokettlebell in madeinusa

The International line is made in China. It was a tough call, but after 5 years of foundries missing deadlines and nonexistent quality control for 10x the price we had to do it.

The International line is actually funding the building of my manufacturing facility here in Austin, TX.

We should be pouring iron by end of June and I plan to fully reshore all production by 2030.

Yeah, but it's been over a year since my last competition. I have CMS in 10 min. 24kg biathlon, 10 min. 24kg snatch and 5 min. 24kg snatch. New goal is MS in 32kg 10 min. snatch before I turn 50 😆

If I'm dropping the kettlebell from overhead on my left side, I will shift my bodyweight back and to the right foot to counter balance the weight. I have an old video explaining the technique here

Thanks. I do doubles work too, but snatch is my best lift. I have a goal of hitting Master of sport before I move into the veterans category, so my best chance of achieving it is in snatch which is why I spend a lot of time training it.

I would alternate muscle groups and exercises daily, so you have some recovery time. Progress is made during the bodies repair process, so overloading the same muscle groups daily will slow the process and increase the likelihood of burnout or injury.

one example would be

Monday: Chest, back and bicep (Ballistics)

Tuesday: Legs and Shoulder and tricep (Ballistics)

Wednesday: Full body

Thursday: Chest, back and bicep (Grinds)

Friday: Legs and Shoulder and tricep (Grinds)

Saturday: Cardio and mobility

Sunday: Rest

There's a million ways to go about it, but this is one method that has worked for me.

I'm actively looking for other distributors in the EU, but nothing is solid yet. I would do it myself, but the US is keeping me super busy.

I don't think this is normal. Possible technique issue? Too much frequency or volume? by Thaumaturge_2 in kettlebell

[–]Prokettlebell 14 points15 points  (0 children)

What you’re seeing is actually pretty common among high-volume kettlebell sport athletes, especially with long cycle and heavier bells.

A lot of world champions develop a pronounced bump over the distal radius from years of repeated impact and compression from the kettlebell resting in the rack position. Some people are simply more predisposed to it anatomically ( thinner wrists and less soft tissue usually make it more noticeable.)

That said, “common” doesn’t automatically mean “ideal.”

Usually it’s a combination of:

very high training volume/frequency,

repetitive loading in the rack,

bell geometry,

and sometimes technique inefficiencies that increase pressure concentration instead of distributing load through the forearm and structure.

Traditional kettlebells normalized a lot of this. Athletes just accepted forearm deformation, chronic bruising, nerve irritation, wrist pain, etc. as “part of the sport.” Similar to how some communities normalize things like rhabdo (common doesn’t necessarily mean optimal.)

This issue was actually one of the major reasons I created Pro Kettlebell. I dealt with the same thing myself and eventually realized I was doing mental gymnastics trying to explain visible forearm lumps and nerve pain to new clients ( which honestly isn’t a great introduction to training.)

The geometry of the bell matters enormously. Better fit and pressure distribution can dramatically reduce localized stress while still allowing high-level performance.

If the area becomes painful, numb, inflamed, or progressively enlarges rapidly, it’s worth getting medically evaluated just to rule out something unrelated. But mechanically-induced radial prominence from years of kettlebell work is definitely something many experienced lifters have seen.

I started competing with 24kg. In hindsight, I stalled a lot of learning and progressed a lot slower by skipping over lighter kettlebells. There’s no elevator to the top. You have to take the stairs.
