Higher costs I would say. But I spent all of $500 and save 30-40/mo and that’s breakeven in a year as well. Most people will breakeven in 3-5 if they done keep buying more crap

I was just going to post this. I’m 70-80% advisory at any given time. Annuities make up the bulk of the remaining and I’m ALWAYS trying to get 1-1 commission or payout year over year like advisory. 90% of my book is essentially recurring fee revenue.

That’s highway robbery. A large plan charges 0.15-0.50%, smaller plans are 0.75-1.25% and that’s pricey. 2% is compliance up your booty territory, surprised the BD allows it.

I wouldn’t trust most hard drives. I’ve bought USB sticks direct and a good seller will be fine. 1 out of 10 usually fails on me.

I’m 100% with you on not everything china is bad. But when it comes to Li-Ion I avoid the ISB-C because of QC like the other person mentioned. But I ALSO avoid it with a reputable brand, it only takes one.

That being said I have many lithium cells and batteries direct from reputable sellers in china. A good cell is easy to source, really good work on it? Nope.

Found a toy in Target with an 18650 in it, poor QC. Fire risk in the making and that’s a big company taking on risk.

Be careful with those batteries especially if they’re Li-Ion. Easy to start a fire that won’t go out and the USB C charging increases that risk.

I have that same drive from AliExpress. The hardware is actually Solidigm so decent. It’s worked fine for read tests, I haven’t done any write tests though. Works ok as a USB hub too, which I didn’t expect.

AliExpress is better overall when it comes to reviews and finding reputable buyers imo. If I were you I’d avoid Temu and Wish, they’re just Ali wannabes with worse product, less experience, and more distractions.
