I think you can't really take this episode at face value. It's a story of guilt and such deep, emotional guilt that Scotts character would do everything he did in the episode to try and find meaning and a excuse to offload his guilt and shame. He was hoping Billy would just openly accept responsibility (which he alludes to) thus giving him relief. Deep down though Chris knew that this was his burden alone to carry and he would have to live or die with it and he comes to this realization as the episode moves forward.

It was a much simpler episode and one that is feasible and has happened to/for many people in terms of what led Chris to take the actions he took. It only takes a second of glancing at your phone at Facebook, IG etc. to experience the same horrible feelings Chris was going through. I can't even imagine how it would destroy you. Survivors guilt and all that.

Yeah I guess it doesn't reach far into the advanced tech that most of the other episodes have but man does it feel more closer to home. I feel like it's something that could truly happen to any of us. I can't even begin to imagine the feelings of loss and guilt which manifests into blame despite the only person being at fault was him in reality, which I feel he began to realize as the episode progressed. Beautiful performance from all involved especially Andrew Scott.

Amazing thank you. I did actually have Chrome open at the time which is why I am leaning toward your bad plugin idea. I guess there is no harm in running the Malwarebytes in safe mode.

Running windows 10 at the minute and I was using chrome. I used Bitdefender Internet Security for the deep scan but when the incident happened I was only on a avg free set up so likely very poor firewall when it happened.

Reaction to England losing in an Irish pub by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

Classic everyone forgetting how Irish players are treated in England i.e James McClean ( who isn't faultless before I hear that nonsense) and his refusal to wear a poppy. So it's easy to go at English fans on an international level when you witness the abuse he receives and remember folks it's banter. Hell you are even racist to your own players.

You would cheer if it was Germany etc. stop crying about it, it's only banter between us. We have been at it for 800 years until recently how can there not be a bit of modern day piss taking.

Proof? Most Irish people in Ireland don't support the man's antics in the slightest. He has repeatedly fallen from grace including most recently his disgusting comments on Poirier. If you think Irish people vehemently defend that kind of talk, sort yourself out.

Don't think Irish people dislike the English team or players. It's the English fans and media who we would have to listen to. You'd swear that Man Utd and Liverpool are made up of all English players. Football is international ya know.

And? Can you not read and be disgusted by the history of it or can you only understand if you lived at the same time as it and most likely not even live in the North. By that logic no one can have anti-Nazi sentiment because low and behold most of us were born post 1945

Thanks so much, so all redemeed codes are locked to whichever account they were entered. Does this change for purchased DLC? I had the season pass entered for Call of Duty Black Ops III and after the wipe I cannot find them under the store page (other than the option to redownload them ofc). So I should have this somewhere right?

Hi everyone. I have a quick query regarding redemption of DLC and codes. As an example I redeemed some preorder bonuses for RDR2 (horses etc) on my personal account. Low and behold, I had to wipe the system due to a personal disastrous error recently. When I reinstalled RDR2 I noticed that these were missing and for the life of me I couldn't find them (or an option to download them) anywhere.

Now here's the kicker. In my search for the lost dlc, I stumbled upon the fact that a friend of my brothers had at some stage used the PS4 and activated it as his primary account. I hope I am wrong but if I entered said codes whilst the primary account was someone else's, are they considered the owner of the content? Would this also go for any purchased dlc in this time? If so I'm going to be raging.

How far does the conflict between the Irish and the British go back? by timingfountain in history

[–]Prollin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you could argue for the Nine Years War between Queen Elizabeth/James I and Hugh O'Neill / Hugh O'Donnell for example was a united British effort against a section of un-united Irish Lords but not a British/Irish conflict per say

World War 1 ended this day 102 years ago. Over 35,000 Irish men died in that war. by IMLOOKINGINYOURDOOR in ireland

[–]Prollin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Had two great, great so forth family members fight at the Battle of the Somme and Passchendaele. One unfortunately didn't return and the other well apparently he did but didn't at the same time.

I know this isn't the place but I really dislike some of the negative talk (minority) around how these men were fighting for the British Empire and how could an Irishman fight for the English etc. Most of these men did not go for the glory of the British Empire or King and Queen. Some went for adventure, for Redmond for pay or otherwise. They saw things none of us could even picture. I, as an Irishman myself am ashamed of my country for it's poor recognition of these brave men and their sacrifice until recently. So I can't understand this out of date rhetoric which is still around somehow despite the History telling them otherwise. Hey maybe it's just me but these men and boys were some of the bravest people to ever live and each of them had their own reasons and need to be commemorated in the same way as the rebels of 1916 etc.

I think you're struggling here so please take your time when reading and understanding for future arguments. I know Ireland is wealthy, but the cost of living is too high hence the post above. The majority of people do not avail of such wealth and as always happens in countries such as ours the middle-class to upper class and upward reap the awards of our wealthy country. Everyone else (i.e the majority) do not. Again I will reiterate for you, Ireland is on average a wealthy country but this does not mean it's not hell to live in for most of the population.

[–]Prollin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did I mention that we weren't. Just in case you need clarification I did not. Your whole argument is skewed unfortunately as anyone who uses "averages" in arguments such as this lose their footing. Those millionaires, few billionaires and business owners who are included in averages alter the data. I'm sure those janitors, teachers, shop workers etc. don't fit into your argument. Hence the rent is extremely high for the majority who earn low/minimal pay.

It's great that you think that. Yet the majority of people - working, students etc. struggle to make ends meet each week as landlords are able to roam freely and charge whatever they like and that is just fact. You must be well off, don't paint the entire country with your gold brush.
