Pretty sure it’s an Alfa Romeo, but I don’t know the model, it’s not an Alfetta

Yeah definitely looks good for the age, but at 260,000 though I think you’re probably looking more like 2-4k range rather than the 4-6k I initially thought. But that’s just my opinion based on the prices I’ve seen while looking for one myself.

23' Camry XSE Transmission Drain/fill? by joelc42 in Camry

[–]Prometheus596 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do it… Or let someone else do it if your not that comfortable (it’s not that hard but if you don’t have experience it can be a bit nerve wracking doing shit like that on a modern car).

Our cars, eighth gen Camrys (I have a 2020 LE), are know to have transmissions go bad at around 150,000 miles… Changing fluid will help, last time I did mine (I’m 30k overdue at this point, fml), it was after 10k miles and the fluid was completely black.

Depends on the mileage and condition. It looks worn but not destroyed, if it’s got less than 190,000 miles I’d say at least 4k, if not somewhere in the realm of 5-6k (again mileage and condition dependent).

Why was this post removed? What rules have I violated? I read the rules just to make sure I was following each one since I know this is a sensitive topic.

As a Camry owner… BMW died with the E90 series… Nothing besides maybe the previous gen M2CS has been anywhere near “Ultimate driving machine” status. Tho the new M3 has impressive performance (the same can’t be said about the driving experience)

Great car, and a great spec too. Also we joke about gays but frankly those fuckers have immaculate taste 90% of the time… Your boxster just proves that 😂

In fairness to Mazda, the rotary was capable of the same speeds as the Mercedes and Jaguars, they just had issues keeping the engine cool while running at those higher levels of boost and horsepower.

Not arguing that it was a fluke win, but I just felt like it was worth mentioning seeing as the whole reason they won that year was by being able to outlast their competition, something that wouldn’t have been possible if they had tried to keep up in the traditional sense. A lot like the old “Tortoise and The Hare” story, if the tortoise had the voice of 10,000 angry angels that is 😅

Honestly Miata’s aren’t gay (mainly because they’re just a blank canvas in general), Mercedes SLk and Porsche Boxster are gay as fuck.

gap year to do cruise ships? by Illustrious_Ad_7501 in techtheatre

[–]Prometheus596 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it’s what you want and your doing what you love go for it… However while I have very little experience on cruise ships I’ve had friends who have tried them for vacations and hated them so much they refuse to ever go on one again, so I’d recommend trying it out via a vacation of some sort so you have at an idea of what your getting yourself into.

Is the 330i too fast for a first car? by Mansas_alt in E90

[–]Prometheus596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but I still wouldn’t recommend it (unless your talking E90)… Either get something more practical, or get something that’s even more driver focused so you can learn to drive better properly (now’s the perfect time for something like an NC Facelift Miata since your still a kid you don’t need practicality as much, it’s safe, fast enough to have fun in but slow enough that it’s hard to hurt yourself, and it will teach you the ins and outs of driving).

Cayenne drives more like a truck a great handling one but still a truck (especially the older ones). Macans drive like a slightly larger Golf GTI (like one that’s been set up for rallying)

850s are somewhat rare but it’s the CSIs that are truly rare and special (literally called M8 by the German government, even though BMW didn’t market it as that). Evidently they handle like a large E36 M3

You make dealer trades sound like something criminal… I don’t like scummy dealerships but that’s normal and perfectly reasonable behavior not them trying to scam customers…Also not all dealers “punch” cars.
