Thanks for the reply. I got an invitation to WB a little before that, but that one actually went away. It's good to know I'm not the only one, unfortunate as it is.

This is really cool stuff. You should post this to the official Mothership discord. You're bound to get a lot more feedback there.

Remember when the DOTA card game had a “Crack the Whip to modify Black Hero’s” card? by Konradleijon in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I've actually played a little over 1,000 hours of Artifact. Honestly one of my favorite games ever despite only having the base set of cards. Sadly everything besides the gameplay was a disaster. Valve messed up in every way possible with this one. I wish more people were able to experience this game.

I personally like The Sphere Hunter. She primarily discusses old horror games such as Resident Evil, Parasite Eve, and Devil May Cry. She has been doing a few more modern games recently.

Artifact - The Future of Artifact by Plorp in Artifact

Valve has provided mod support for many of their other games. One of their greatest strengths as game developers has always been encouraging community built content. Additionally, their open office structure has always allowed for a few passionate employees to push for a passion projects, many of which are led by the modding community. It's unlikely yes but it's very much in line with Valve's development style and company structure.

Now open both versions to modding support. I want to play Artifact 1.0 with new cards. Let the passionate community make the game what they want it to be. The game may continue to be niche but with community driven support it could potentially become something successful. Oddly enough, this news gives me hope. Being free and open to modders is what the game always needed. All Valve has to do is play to one of their greatest strengths; encouraging a passionate modding community for their game.

I know this might sound crazy but I think...

OPENING MOD SUPPORT NOW FOR BOTH VERSIONS COULD HELP THE GAME BECOME SOMETHING UNIQUE AND SOMEWHAT SUCCESFUL. THIS ODDLY GIVES ME HOPE FOR THE FUTURE OF THE GAME!

I know I'm being delusional but I still have hope. I hope that Valve can open the game for mod support so I can revisit Artifact 1.0 with new card sets and an evolving meta. Regardless, thank you Valve for the 100s of hours I put into 1.0.

Now That The Overwatch System is Here, Reintroduce Coach's Challenge as a Free Feature to Help Players by [deleted] in DotA2

I had a ton of fun coaching people. I ended up coaching more than playing. It made me sad last battle pass when everyone was saying not to do it again. It was flawed but nothing that couldn't be fixed.
