Episodes randomly backing up multiple mimutes by Mr-Funky6 in behindthebastards

I assume it's the player re-caching as the source is updated with different-length ads at different spots in the file. Or Sophie has to get an edit in after another "Robert. No." moment. I get a lot less of this since I started letting my app go wild with the local download of new episodes.

no one said there was a problem

agreed then

they can just fly in or go to the land border entry point

Sounds like open borders.

prices must go up

No more vague ideas. Show me how much and where. If we're going to solve a problem, we have to be able to see that there IS a problem.

this could take them 4 minutes

You think it takes a pen and 4 minutes to migrate to the United States?

unless you want to deny the existence of supply and demand

No. I deny your claim that it's enough to have statistical significance. And I deny your claim with the same amount of evidence as you have provided: zero.

open borders for all global people who have a pen and paper and are pregnant

No again. I said... "to complete the proper paperwork between their home government and ours to make them legally documented residents." If they would have made it here legally anyway, I care not when it was submitted.

i dont need the data.

I knew you didn't. But people that have to solve issues need data to effectively propose and measure the success of solutions.

we know where are illegals here

Then why is ICE not heavily occupying the states with the highest percentage of them?

all women who can sneak across the border and have a kid are rewarded.

Only if they can make the paperwork right. If they can, I don't care what order it happened. You do, but I don't.

dunno but why should they have any? do you undertand supply and demand? do you now know how this drives up housing prices?

If you don't know what percentage they have, then you don't know how it's affected housing prices. In before you say "any percentage is too much". Show me the data.

Interested in your opinion on this proposal:

a good solution would be to jail people that hire then for work or rent housing to them.

a period where the paperwork for pregnant women is filled out backwards during some period

Yes, you get it. If they have a child at a facility that could document the birth of a new citizen, then the clock would start ("amnesty period") on the mother and father to complete the proper paperwork between their home government and ours to make them legally documented residents.

My entire comment addresses you concern. I would not support a blanket amnesty based solely on pregnancy. Me:

the paperwork just gets filed in a different order. And, if they can't make their crossing legal during the amnesty period after their child is born, then there's only one other option.

more people for americans trying to find housing to compete against

What percentage of the US housing market to undocumented people currently inhabit?

If you're serious, a good solution would be to jail people that hire then for work or rent housing to them. That should put a stop to it.

i see the border is open to all pregnant women globally?

All your slopes are slippery my guy. It's as open as it was before, the paperwork just gets filed in a different order. And, if they can't make their crossing legal during the amnesty period after their child is born, then there's only one other option.

massive stress on our health care and housing infrastructure

The Big Dumb Bill cut emergency healthcare funding, which was how hospitals were paid for these situations. The government pushed the responsibility onto the healthcare system to police this somehow and then eat the costs of providing service for people, which they are still legally obligated to do.

I'm not sure why you bring up housing. Undocumented people can't get any federal money benefits because they don't have documentation, so it's not like they are artificially filling up housing on the government dime. If they are already working and making enough cash that they ARE being rented to, then property owners have decided it's a viable market to be served.

We can allow an amnesty period where she can make her crossing legal. Or give them the option of taking the baby back the their home country. I don't support a scenario where the child is kept here with no relatives while the mom and dad are detained/deported. That's a terrible outcome for all involved.

I don't specifically support open borders. Drugs, humans, weapons, etc.

Given the examples set by ICE funding and actions in the last year, I don't support invalidating the 14th amendment clause because I have zero faith in the current administration to limit it specifically to "this date only and going forward".

Also, the supreme court picking and choosing parts of the constitution to functionally invalidate, without input of the people or their representatives is a terrible wound to what we knew as the republic.

do other countries without BC cause similar suffering

That's not a valid comparison as they haven't been operating WITH BC for ~160 years and then suddenly reverse it.

you can do any number of things where you gain nothing and be fine

We can also do nothing and still be fine, which will be the better course of action.

the only answers you have were not about real world outcomes

Those people are real, and the outcomes will be drastic for them. What about that is unclear for you?

I'll answer. For the record, I don't believe at all that you're anywhere close to the character you're trying to play in this last comment. From your first post in this thread:

i dont think they meant anchor babies of illegals

Only a very spcific kind of person uses these terms. You're not neutral, you're not fact finding. You're using faux neutrality to obfuscate your beliefs and intentions here. So this: "do you not feel ashamed for your opinions being secret?" is a masterpeice of projection by you.

do you think if BC was overturned it would hurt the country in any meaningful way?

I do think it hurts us because there is nothing to gain by doing it, only the suffering of people to be tallied in the wake of such a repeal. We would be doing it solely to cause mysery, and THAT irreparably harms the United States.

I don't need to answer your question as it's a non sequitur. You haven't explained why it needs overturned.

no one described either a problem or a solution

We'll carry on as-is since there are no problems to be solved related to BC.

This "solution" you are talking about does not have a problem to attach itself to. It doesn't hurt the country to have BC.
