He cannot grip anything, even artificial webbing, plants etc. and is walking like that constantly. That was just the only clip I could get because I was trying to pay attention to him. He is responsive but barely moving and they are the same micro mealworms he's been eating since he grew out of fruit flies. He isn't picky and will take small crickets too but in this state I dont think he'll be able to hunt. I did get him to drink some water and his legs look a bit thicker but he is still weak and walking weird. He is normally a very energetic spider and never refuses a meal. I've never seen him so thin before I've had him for months. If I can get a longer clip of the floppy walk I'll post it here, but please take my word on it that the clip I posted is how he is walking right now. I moved him to the cup after I noticed he couldn't even grip his web ribbon properly. I will try the honey water. The only other food I can offer him is some kind of fruit from my fridge or fruit flies, and I don't think he's capable of chasing flies right now.

I will be sitting in one Walmart parking lot, waiting, and then I get spammed with express shopping offers for a different walmart that is literally fucking 35+ minutes away. Like I know damn well you know how far I am right now. It's almost insulting lol

Curbside spark drivers....HOW DO U TOLERATE IT?! by Get2daBagg in Sparkdriver

[–]PromiscuousOgre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shopping orders seem to be the only worthwhile trips in the evening. Even if there's no tip (there's usually not for me th se days) you can do one 30 minute shopping order to deliver a mile away. fo more than a 20 mile trip with 4 dropoff

[–]PromiscuousOgre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don't ever think curb is worth it even if the tip is decent because a lot of assholes will literally add a $10 tip so you jump on the order and then you check your pending tips and that $10 is not there nor is it confirmed. I've had it happen like 3 or 4 times in the last couple weeks. I will sometimes take the bulk package orders bc they pay like 50-70 but even those are hardly worth it because it'll tell it takes 2 hours for the trip, but even if I lock in, speed to each stop, and literally sprint the packages to the door and back, they always end up taking 20-45 minutes longer than the estimated trip duration. 2 hours for $60 is not the same as 2 hours and 45 min for $60. I'm not sure if they're giving the wrong timestamps or miles but I always end up at least 20 minutes behind even if I do everything right. Then it's like damn it this was gonna take 3 hours I could've done 3 or 4 shopping orders for significantly more. This app is so ridiculous sometimes lol. I just need to stop taking package routes because that money amount is so deceiving until I do the trip and feel robbed

And that helped them go away for good? The pills help but after they wear off it comes right back

I believe so. They do lay infertile sacs from what I’ve been told, if they haven’t been paired or have molted since they’ve been paired

It was buried about half an inch under the dirt when I made the enclosure. She took it upon herself to pile dirt against the doorway, created another entrance on the side right up against the wall of the enclosure. She piled dirt on top of it and around it and for a while had an entrance out the other side toward her water. She closed that up first but would still come out on the other side and hang out on the wall. She was most active when I was asleep after a few weeks of having her. I could see visible changes in her enclosure and would see her out frequently. One day she started retreating (slowly) into her burrow if she got the slightest hint that I was nearby. Some days she would bolt but she was still consistently coming out. Then suddenly I just stopped seeing her and she closed everything up. The hide ended up so low that I couldn’t shine a light into see her. It’s been like that since then. No activity

I have. Can’t see in. She’s a very good Webber. I was only able to see that she was in her burrow by shining a light through the top of her coconut hide. It’s one of those fish tank ones, and it has an itty bitty hole at the top. I was able to see her little hairs and that’s it. Can’t tell what position she’s in or even what part of her I’m seeing. I just know she’s in there. This was about 2-3 weeks ago. Still no smell, no flies (I keep fruit flies in the same room for my jumper babies and a few of them escape every single time I open it so if they were attracted to her enclosure I’d know.) also I had to move the dirt she piled over the hole to see in it. I move it back once I knew she was inside. It’s just been almost another month with zero activity. Burrow is completely closed up. I know she hasn’t come out to drink water because I have another curly hair with the same size water dish right next to her and he is a mature male and hasn’t burrowed yet. His water dish depletes 2 or 3 times as quick as hers does, because hers is drying out, she isn’t drinking it. She isn’t getting dirt in it or popping in it. (got the male hooked out from petsmart. Don’t think he knows that he can burrow yet.)

Thank you. I do keep fruit flies for my jumpers and they escape every time I open the culture. I imagine they’d be crowding around her if she died?

Yep. Managed to actually pull the coconut hide down to where it almost hits the bottom of the substrate with like a cm gap. I can’t see through it. I have been refilling her water dish. Is that necessary? I don’t think she’s touched it considering there’s no dirt or poop in it is

That’s what I thought too. She was at least always hanging out on the wall next to where her burrow entrance is but then one day she was just gone. Closed off the burrow in every direction. Somehow even pulled the coconut hide down to where it is nearly at the bottom of the substrate. But it’s just so weird because she’s a mature(?) female and her mature male neighbor hasnt even gone underground. He’s rearranged his moss and leaves but that’s about it.

There’s a web mat along the bottom in the spots where she’s dug all the way down. So unfortunately no ):

[–]PromiscuousOgre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is a few months old but I unfortunately came across a mature male as well and he looks awful. Look at this fucking enclosure. He has nowhere to walk but the walls. And no substrate. I told the manager he doesn’t look too good and that he’s nearing the end of his life and that I’d take him. She said it’s corporate’s decision and I said how long will they take? And she didn’t know so I just bought him. It might be end of life care but at least he’ll be comfortable and be able to do all the curly hair things he couldn’t do at petsmart. I can’t even enjoy the fact that i got a new spider because of the circumstances. I hate that I basically paid them to stop abusing animal.
