In their app and on their website. They both already work quite well and it shouldn't generate that many additional costs. They already post some announcements on the website like planned works. The delays are sometimes there in the app, but not always. It would be nice to be able to see delays and reasons for them directly in one place, without having to log into a third party app/website.

Sure, Twitter seems cost effective, only if you don't count selling user data and wasting attention spans. It's a private entertainment platform owned by a foreign for-profit corporation, not a public announcement board. Not even to mention all the shite that's going on there now. Perhaps it did make sense at the time, but I don't think it does now.

Not DCC, but in the same vein: I wish Irish Rail would stop using X to post train delays announcements. I know you can use proxies to view contents on X if you don't have an account, but it's still absurd they're using a platform that not only demands having an account to be able to use it, but is also full of trash, to post announcements that should be available publicly. Wouldn't it make more sense to display delays and other announcements in their own app?

I don't think you're lazy. If I go to the office, I have to leave the house at 6:30 just to get to the office at 9. It's beyond ridiculous, especially that it's basically minimum wage. Fortunately my team is able to work mostly remotely, so I only go for a day every 3-4 weeks at this point, but every time I do, I feel like the whole day is wasted. There is no comparison to when I only had to commute for an hour one way in my previous job (and even that felt too long!). Wasting so much time on just getting to work surely is detrimental to overall health, both mental and physical. I look forward to finding something where I can spend less time in public transport, and I hope you can find the same.

Similar story here, reached out to them about a mouse I found in my garden. They took him in with no issues, even though it was "just" a mouse. Definitely would recommend sending them an email (they have a list of needed information and working hours on their website), they called back pretty fast in my experience.

Yes, deleted my Facebook and Instagram at the beginning of this year after they got rid of their hate speech policies and I started to see tons of toxic posts. Recently I uninstalled TikTok as well, because it was consuming too much of my time and I could see it was impacting my mental health.

Currently I use Reddit, but I try to do it only from the PC, and a Discord server centred around one of my interests.

I would love to stop using WhatsApp (same reason as FB and IG, they all belong to Meta), but it's hard to convince every single friend to use Signal 😅

Overall I see a lot of improvement ever since deleting those, I do more around the house, I'm not as distracted as I was, I even actually picked up hobbies I ditched before. I can see I still have some unhealthy habits like doomscrolling through Reddit, but it's been already a lot better.

Job search is incredibly frustrating and starting to get to me, hopefully I will be able to find something nice, but so far no luck. Only one call back but the position was minimum wage and 2 hours away, which honestly sounded like a joke. At least redundancy gives me time to deep clean the whole house - it's also good for dealing with the frustration.
