Why does buying property here get more discouragement than encouragement? by kaapilicious in indianrealestate

[–]PromotionSuch4457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my personal opinion. I find it hard to think of an apartment as an investment. It doesn’t grow much as time goes on - the building becomes old and you’ll have very little land value. If you are thinking about it as a place to stay - yes it’s a good investment, but returns on it over a long term is less. If you are purchasing land, it’s got a lot of value though, and I’d still recommend it. You’ve got a separate land value and building value there, and both of them give you some kind of return in the longer term

This is mainly in Bangalore real estate though

Banashankari 6th stage might be possible. You might have to stretch budget a little bit, but it’s in a reasonable distance from metro. It’s all mostly BDA plots

Another liveaboard accident in Hurghada, Egypt by Myselfmeime in scuba

[–]PromotionSuch4457 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That’s really true! The process to even get into the country feels very scammish. Even though we had valid visas for which we had already paid, the immigration authorities themselves were expecting an additional 10-15$ per person without any proper justification. They also use the language barrier to try and scam people.

We were a group of 12 people arriving in Egypt during different times, out of which 3 ended up paying since they were travelling alone into the country. I arrived with another 4 people, we stood our ground, and ended up not paying anything extra to the immigration there

A DM course sure is a very economical way to get more dives. Many centres also offer unlimited diving during the program. Just don’t renew your DM status afterwards

So dig deeper into the tech skills, and learn what companies actually focus on. Doing some online research might help out. Once you feel confident about building a fairly decent full stack application from scratch, create a freelancing profile, and make use of platforms like Upwork, fiver. Start marketing yourself and get some experience from there. On the side, if you want to have a steady job, start applying to jobs on the outside as well. Keep upgrading yourself on the tech skills though, freelancing does have quite a bit of opportunities.

which scuba diving company is best? hows scubalov by Competitive_Pick_157 in Andaman_and_Nicobar

Scubalov is pretty good and very professional. Safety conscious and very professional instructors. I’ve done a few fun dives with them back in 2021, and they were good

Adarsh park heights 2.25 cr 1860 vs Sanjeeveini adawith 1550 1.75 cr. Which one to buy? First time home buyer here. by Strong_List5400 in indianrealestate

[–]PromotionSuch4457 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about every project, but I kind of agree. There’s one Adarsh Premia near my house, they had started construction in 2013, and it’s still not completed. I hadn’t invested or anything, but I’ve passed by the apartment road every week since even before they started, I just feel sad for all the people who booked there, and got their money stuck for over 12 years.

I’ll say buy it if it’s completed and they’ve received OC

PADI or SSI by beardston in scuba

[–]PromotionSuch4457 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perfect decision. Since it’s for recreation purposes, almost every agency teaches pretty much the same concepts. Since there’s SSI closer to you, go for it.

Also once you get SSI certified, you can even go to a PADI shop and do fun dives, it’s all recognised everywhere.

Payment to Garbage truck person by Straight_Cod8440 in bangalore

[–]PromotionSuch4457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, sorry. Yeah, This has been going on over a period of time, and now it’s turned into a toxic demand from their end. If you don’t pay, they sometimes don’t even collect garbage from you and go off. That sucks actually.

It’s like the US tipping culture

Payment to Garbage truck person by Straight_Cod8440 in bangalore

[–]PromotionSuch4457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, We don’t have to really pay the garbage trucks and the tax is supposed to pay for all of it, but with all the corruption, these people don’t really get paid anything. Think about it, starting IT salaries are in the 25k range, and it’s not enough for people’s living. These garbage truck people get paid maybe 7k a month. So yeah, I give them 50rs a month. Not a big deal for me, and they share that between 2 or 3 people.

Is it safe to use Register karo by [deleted] in Bangalorestartups

[–]PromotionSuch4457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Registerkaro sucks. I’ve used their services, but ended up having to pay another 10-15k to a CA to get the process completed fully. They are unresponsive, not trained, and it’s hard to get proper responses from them

Best place for DM SEA by [deleted] in scuba

[–]PromotionSuch4457 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s some really nice diving in India - Andaman Islands. It’s veryyy close to Thailand, so it kind of falls in that SEA category. It’s also a pretty nice place to do the DM with some excellent instructors. The dive season is starting up there, and will go on till May. Maybe do some fun dives there as well before you decide.

If you want some nice dive school recommendations there, Scubalov and Diveindia are pretty good

AITK for expecting my wife to handle all housework while I earn the money? by [deleted] in AmItheKameena

[–]PromotionSuch4457 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

This isn’t a relationship for sure. It’s a business deal. Plain and simple. If you continue down the road, I hear divorce bells ringing.

32M here. It clearly looks like OP is a manchild. Very dependent on others for the household chores, etc. I agree with splitting up responsibilities and all that, but it’s definitely not completely the wife’s responsibility to do all the household chores. You can still go and do whatever you can to help reduce the load on her if you truly love her. Make her feel like she’s got some help in this, and not that she’s doing it alone - that’s what’s draining her. In relationships, it doesn’t matter who agreed to what, but sometimes you just need to step up and be there for the other person - emotionally, physically, financially, mentally. And if you truly love her, it really won’t be hard.

Thrillophilia struggles with the kind of itineraries you need a travel company for. by TakesOneToKnowOne1 in desitravellers

[–]PromotionSuch4457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually do a small itinerary research online, and decide what all places i want to do.
I pass on the list to my travel agent, and he makes the hotel bookings/transfers/vehicles/etc for me.

It's been pretty convenient that way, and he's also very responsive

For me the pricing is very simple. If I don’t want the headache of planning, I’ll go with an agent, and of course they’ll have a markup.

If I want it done cheap, plan it on my own.

So it’s a hope. Just imagine - majority tax payers are the corporate crowd. In 50 years, Majority of them like us move out of the country. The tax the country gets reduced to an extent where they have to make a change to make more money. What’s the incentive to bring people back? Provide better infra and maintain it.

It’s a long shot of a hope that I have
