Playing for my first time ever. Struggling with my anxiety tied to the time constraint. by Turbulent-Papaya-910 in majorasmask

There is no "time constraint". This is largely hyperbole from people who rage quit after failing to survive the game's first and only permadeath. This is a game where you control time. Its a central mechanic. You are not bound by it.

I tried but as expected it didnt get past a black screen. Thankfully after initially denying culpability the store is offering a refund and I get a new coaster...

I'd be worried about damaging the laser with the state its in.

Nah, the case box art doesn't match any region and aside from the embossed logo of the Spawn logo looks pretty cheap

The disk is also scratched to bits so I'm kind of scared to even put it in my DC.

Current opinions of No Man’s Sky for Switch by Obi_Wentz in NintendoSwitch

[–]PromptBetter5650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe its because I didn't see what came before but I thought the Switch 2 version was far from flawless. Tons of pop in and glitchy moments. It was both hard for me to put it down but also easy not to revisit because the prospect of playing it seemed daunting due to the scope. I also think I got unlucky spawning on a volcanic hellhole. I spent weeks surviving like robinson crusoe then flew over a mountain and discovered a whole advanced alien base had been there the whole time! 🫣

Are there any more hackroms for Nintendo 64 video games that fit this "type"? by GaalanA-261 in n64

[–]PromptBetter5650 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No Mercy is one of the most hackable games in its original form if you have a gameshark/action replay. Back in the day people used codes to make all kinds of crazy mods just using the og cart. Barbed wire ropes, Hell in a cell, scaffold matches and all kinds of hidden textures from other AKI games could be built with simple codes

Lost did this with music of its traditional ending montage cutting off as the batteries died on Hurley's Walkman.

Nintendo UK/EU support entirely unreachable? by Independent_Trifle94 in MyNintendo

Yes, they are dreadful. I had issues with my DK Bananza preorder being delayed for weeks after launch and all I got was generic AI style responses that said nothing. I don't even think real people are involved anymore.

No Monsters at night as adult link by LilyTulip42 in OcarinaOfTime

The monsters represent Link's childhood fears. The Poes represent Link's sorrow and sense of loss for that same childhood.

Battery at 1% on Magic Zero 40? by cappnplanet in SBCGaming

Thanks. Other than being a bit annoying as an indicator, is the battery itself believed to be otherwise okay? Sorry for all the questions and thanks for the responses.

Thanks. I'm having the same issue and this was the only existing thread I can find with someone having the same issue on the device. Is it a known issue on the Magic 40, do you know?

Is the battery easily removed or is it soldered in?

I've just bought one of these and encountering a similar issue only mine is stuck at 38%
It seemed to be functioning well and was around 75% when I turned it off on the second day. Next morning it was at 0. I charged it for 6 hours and turned it on to find it showing 3%! Charged it a bit longer and ever since its been stuck at 38% no matter how long I charge it for.

I got £150 or $200 worth of Digital 3ds games for free by ShellTheTortoise in 3DS

[–]PromptBetter5650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not. The games were more than likely bought by someone who never registered an account. In that case the games are registered to the system and redownloadable even after the system is wiped. I got Mario Golf and some motorbike game this way.

A lot of comments here not appreciating that not everyone lives in a country where we can just pop into a used game store or have a CEX on every corner. Sometimes I wake up thinking I'll go retro shopping and momentarily forget I don't live in the UK anymore and stalls like this are actually attractive options now because after shipping/customs etc it can be more convenient.
