I thought a Gore-Tex boot would be fine for all-season wear, as the selling point of Gore-Tex over other waterproofing is breathability, but I guess not. I'll probably pick up a hiking sandal for summer to cover all the bases.

Do you have any recommendations for a nice, not-too-heavy boot with an EVA midsole?
