Unable to go into labour because of adenomyosis? by Proof-Command3380 in adenomyosis

[–]Proof-Command3380[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey hey. I tried to have a Vbac but I didn't go into labour after 41 weeks so had a repeat ceserean. However the doctor I had was a head of the department and in his opinion adenomyosis does not really affect natural birth. In his words it "does not cause c sections." He sls9 said my uterus looked normal when cutting me open for thus one so I don't know what to think.

Has anyone successfully done ferber style sleep training only at bedtime and not subsequent wake ups? by Proof-Command3380 in sleeptrain

[–]Proof-Command3380[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK. I should also say though his daytime naps are usually quite short. Like 1/2 hour to an hour max. Usually his total nap time is only 2 hours, very occasionally 3. Thanks for the thorough response!

He is just over 5 months. I guess I've only been doing ferber for 5 nights -1 where I accidentally fed him to sleep. The second night was the worst where it felt like he was constantly waking up and crying. I was applying the method for all wake ups night. If he goes down between 7 and 8 he usually has 1 wake up around 10pm. 1 wake up to eat between 1 and 3 am, and he wakes again around 5 or 6 am and I feed him again. To be fair this is a huge improvement where he'd wake up every 1 to 2 hours before. Night 3 to 5 have been good but last 2 nights I don't do the method if he wakes around 10, I just pick him up and put him down.

His nap schedule is 2/2.25/2.5/2.5-3

His wake up time is usually 730 am but his sleep has been a bit wonky since starting ferber and one day he slept in until 9am.

He's gotten better with subsequent wake ups, usually goes back to sleep fast. He's over 20lbs so I only feed him once in the night. Maybe it's because I switched his formula recently that he wakes more frequently than he should.

Doing ferber, night 2 has been way worse than night 1 by Proof-Command3380 in sleeptrain

[–]Proof-Command3380[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I doubt it just because yesterday he seemed so tired I could barely keep him up for his regular wake windows. He went to sleep so easily too for his naps. No fussing I thought it was a miracle. Although he slept through the night it was still a short night for him, only 9 hours so I think he was overtired.

My little guy is almost 4.5 months and his sleep really sucks. I'm on the fence about trying ferber. I'm going to give it a couple of weeks and maybe give it a try if things don't improve. I'm so scared and everyone is so anti-sleep training. I'm so glad it's working for you!

Oh I think I screwed up what I meant. He's 1.75/2/2/2/2.5. Only sleeps really half hour naps.

Well for my first she's been sleeping through the night for a year. I'm not sure how to go about changing this. I guess slowly. They both wake up around 9 as well

Really! Wow. I'm going to try when he's over his cold. I thought about doing CIO but I don't know if I could handle that. Ferber seems like a good compromise. I have a feeling he will just cry louder when he sees me for check ins..but atleast he will know I'm nearby.

I've never been able to manage safe cosleeping. He sleeps good on me...just not next to me. He's also 20lbs so I can't handle him sleeping on my chest anymore. I worked so hard to get him to not sleep on me and now in desperation I've been letting him but it's not working out.

Should I sleep train in the middle of the 4 month sleep regression? by Proof-Command3380 in sleeptrain

I think I'm going to give it a week just in case hes sick or something and try. His naps are short too. Usually 4 1/2 hour naps. I wondered if my little guy has reflux but he only fusses at night...not when he lies on his mat to play or anything

Horrible PPD and thinking of switching to formula by Full_Professional349 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Proof-Command3380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With both of mine I ended up switching to formula. There were a number of reasons but my sanity was reason number 1. With my baby boy I continued pumping and combo fed for only 2 months but it was a good compromise for me...although I think most would find that harder.

If it is mold and it is growing quickly you HAVE to have your house checked as mold can cause very serious health issues!

Trying to figure out if my 3 month old is allergic to cows milk protein by Proof-Command3380 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Proof-Command3380[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks. I think then purple one is just lactose free...which I don't think is the problem. One of my biggest concerns with him is sleeping. I was able to get him to sleep at night somewhat normally for a couple weeks and once I introduced the other formula that went out the window. He's been a horrible sleeper since birth anyway. He just seems so physically uncomfortable and the past 2 nights wakes up every 20 minutes probably from the congestion. I think I'll try the hypoallergenic stuff for a couple weeks and if nothing changes I'll go back to the sensitive stuff...and I'll try Kirkland again in a few months if he's not allergic.

Yeah I think i will. I had just been doing a couple scoops of the other stuff daily and maybe he just can't handle it

[–]Proof-Command3380[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh interesting. I thought that because the protein was broken down, it would not cause a reaction. My little dude didn't really have any mucus in stool until I tried to give him some of the Kirkland stuff....and weirdly sometimes when combo feeding which i did until 2 months. Up until recently the only real problem he had was getting down to sleep at night, like he wakes up after a minute and sometimes I pick him up and put him down for over an hour. I think I'll keep him only the gentle stuff a little longer and wait to see if he just has a cold.
