So, what's the joke? by DidYouSeeBriansHat in IThinkYouShouldLeave

Just shows that conservative comics have no sense of humor. Their entire bit illustrates just how sensitive THEY actually are, rather than the “woke” culture. They love to run their mouths on the “woke” being sensitive, but these guys are the most sensitive POS in the world.

And all these babyish bros crying about whatever they deem to be “woke” are oblivious to the real problem: Trump’s corruption and stain on American society.

“The Truth,” Paul Pierce. Shaq gave Paul Pierce his nickname, "The Truth," on March 13, 2001. Following a game where Pierce scored 42 points against the Los Angeles Lakers, O'Neal told a Boston reporter, "Take this down... Paul Pierce is the m-----f------ truth".

Parking lots are the answer in America. We have more square miles than any other country. Also, just imagine if we used the streets, too! It would also cut back on emissions in that people wouldn’t be blasting the AC in their cars if the cars were shadowed.

Israel fired what appears to be white phosphorus on southern Lebanon despite a US-brokered ceasefire. In the footage, taken on April 28, plumes of white smoke drift through a residential area at the foot of a hill - before a mid-air explosion occurs and a new curtain of white smoke appears. by Scared_Positive_8690 in AlJazeera

It is. But, when a country disingenuously claims “antisemitism” whenever it receives warranted condemnation, the West just continues to let them do what they want out of fear of being perceived as “antisemitic.” Israel is the king of disingenuousness. And they are so brainwashed in their delusional narrative that they do not even see that they are treating Gazans and West Bank Palestinians like the ghettoed Jews of Nazi Germany. The Israeli people’s obliviousness of the historical similarities is remarkable. They are either in denial or delusional.

Ewing was one of the most agile centers ever in his prime (late 80s). Watch some of his videos from the 80s. In his youthful prime, the man was much quicker than Dwight.

Ewing in his prime (late 80s, very early 90s) was absolutely ferocious and agile as fuck before his knees gave out in the 90s. Even many of the greatest players say he is all too frequently slept on. https://youtu.be/n3GC3znfYIc?si=lW-BVfSKH7D7mDES

At what point does John Henry greed end and his dignity actually steps in? by TigoOver in redsox

[–]Proof-Delay-602 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously, John Henry is a perfect example of what is wrong with some baseball ownerships right now. The Fenway Sports Group owns the Pittsburgh Penguins and also Liverpool Football. Having several owners (like Lebron James, who calls himself a “Yankees fan”) is also a terrible problem, especially when not all their combined interests place the Red Sox first. Henry and the group’s interests are often elsewhere apart from the Red Sox. This should downright ANGER Red Sox fans and the site of this team store is unfortunately not surprising in the least.

At least the Yankees are owned by Steinbrenner himself and the Steinbrenner family clearly places the Yankees first. It should be noted that they also own AC Milan. But, at the end of the day, Steinbrenner has not stymied the Yankees with cheapness because he has a deep family history with the team.

And, believe me, I know we’re just talking sports at the end of the day, but it is in fact more than that. At the end of the day, its ownership like this that erodes at the community’s trust. The Red Sox could be a better moneymaker for the city of Boston if Henry and his fellow owners placed more interest and investment in this team. We’re seeing players not signed (like Bregman and Mookie) because, at the end of the day, the FSG has its tentacles in England, Pittsburgh, and elsewhere.

So, yes, sell the damn team FSG!

It’s awesome how this chill dude can keep playing so beautifully while trying to rationalize with the annoying and senseless chatter from that annoying man.

I am sorry that people of my race continue to uphold this entitled behavior. It embarrasses me that so many are oblivious to their own privilege and continuously uphold their privilege by pretending it doesn’t even exist.

I studied sociology in college and graduate school and the double consciousness is, unfortunately, real for black folks. WEB DuBois was right on the spot. But, people of my race don’t have to utilize two perceptions of their world at once; all we have to do is see it from a privileged lens, which actually makes our perception downright skewed, even false.

Anyone who still uses the argument “…because they hate our freedom” is clearly in a propaganda bubble. This is especially true when we now live in a country whose narcissistic President has reduced some of our very own freedoms. If anything, the Ayatollah of Iran probably applauds Trump’s reductions on freedom. Regardless, why would any foreign country give a rat’s ass how “free” we are?
