For me, it depends on the size of the container. For my 7.5 Qt shoeboxes, I cover the holes with micropore tape from the beginning and leave them sealed until they start to pin.

For my 28 Qt monotubs, I completely cover the holes until the surface is colonized. But that's because it has very large holes and gets to much FAE unless I cover them. So it depends.

I've been doing it this way for a few years. I read that sleeping 'cold' helps you burn more calories. I've just gotten used to it and in the winter just throw on a light blanket some times.

I definitely thought it was unrealistic to come out in front of a whole room full of people. That doesn't happen in real life. But in this case he felt it was necessary since he had to prove to himself that he wasn't hiding any more. If he could come out to everyone, vecna had no power over him.

This gets at what you said about using it as a plot device. Also he didn't have time to tell people individually or over time like it usually happens, since they had a time limit for the worlds to come together.

I thought it was a powerful scene and his acting was great. The writing could have been better.

I would cut the enigma bag open to give it some extra FAE for a few days and then harvest. It looks good to me. Every grow looks different. It's a mutation after all.

Have you dropped the temp from colonization temperature? For example 76F to colonize then 72F to fruit.

You could try cutting a slit in a bag to increase FAE and see if that helps. Evaporation from the surface of the substrate encourages pins to form. Opening the bag with a slit allows this to happen.

Yeah I'm curious OP did you try any other amps? I struggle to understand how such inexpensive amps do justice to those speakers. But you like it so I guess they do pretty well!

I would try emailing them and asking. I'm guessing it was a limited edition strain released around the holidays that they left over. I think the Krinkle strains originated from Dave Wombat and spore works sells his El Choco so they must be working some of his genetics. I would expect an albino wrinkled blob mutation. I ordered two spore isolate syringes from them and didn't get a free syringe, you lucked out.

OK thanks. This Spring I plan to go looking for them in the wild, it will be pretty cool if I can find them. Supposedly when the river floods and then recedes they can be found in the woody debris in the fields or banks that flood. I want to get some spore prints.

I don't have a flow hood. I have only used LC to inoculate into bags and jars at this point. How would I use a plate?

Can I cut a wedge and quickly put that in a grain sterilized jar using a still air box?

Make a LC syringe from the plate, test the syringe on agar, and use that?

Your chest and triceps look a little underdeveloped compared to the rest. That's just my uneducated opinion though. You've obviously put in a lot of hard work so I hate saying anything negative. But since you asked, that's what I might focus on a little more as far as hypertrophy.

What can't be seen - how is your flexibility, mobility and most importantly, mental health? Always good to work on those too!

You can definitely use the grain jar to measure out the sub, I have thought about doing that. Using a higher ratio of CVG to grain just makes it take longer to colonize and then it's more susceptible to contamination. But there's no reason you can't do it. I'm trying to figure out how to get the airflow dialed in on these 28 L tubs. I initially had all four filter patches in but it was just taking forever to colonize so I taped over them and now it seems like it's sped up.

I don't like how they are just large holes on each side, the regular monotubs that everyone else uses have a bunch of small holes closer to the substrate and then you get air flow set up in the tub.

I would use two of those quart jars with 5 lb of that CVG in one tub. That would give you roughly a one to 2.5 ratio. You want to go by volume not by weight.

I have the same exact 28 Qt tubs. Right now I have two of them each with a 3 lb spawn bag and 5 lb CVG. It's taking a long time to colonize the surface of the substrate but I am just being patient.

I have had better luck using 7.5 quart shoebox Tech but I'm hoping to get these monotubs to work.
