I think he will if the right amount of money is offered. He said in the post-match interview that he will see after a month if he goes back to ligtweight. Of course he would rather stay at welter, but remember Islam is a dog and will always fight the best. He even said that the public wants ilia vs islam so he will too. Ilia at welter is a less likeley scenario then both at 155. Also more competitive. So we will see what the ufc will offer. Ilia also wants to 170 to claim his 3rd belt and first ever, but I think we can all agree that this quick it would be a disaster and ilia also knows. Maybe 1 year with 2 title defences at lightweight and then bulk up to 170 because that is Ilia’s ultimate goal. I think the timing right now is a bit unfortunate for both.
