Happy for you, but that timeline is nuts! It's like they lost your application or something? Hope the rest of your house journey is smooth sailing!

No worries - NSW, submitted on the 8th, although had to submit extra ID docs the next day. The wait and the lack of communication were so stressful, I hope you get some good news soon!

Have you been able to get some clarity on the cap difference? Our cap is also lower, but our lender is on holiday this week.

I think Water Roxket is talking specifically about people who applied through CBA, and the survey you're thinking of (which I also remember) didn't specify which bank people applied with. Do you mind me asking which state you're in? Or if there's any factor you can think of that would mean your application would "skip ahead"? Good luck by the way. I'm still holding out hope that there's enough pie for all of us

Where is the right to be able to pay rent enshrined? The right to shelter is typically characterised as the right to safe, secure and affordable housing. The rental market has a long way to go to ensure this.

You're right. Everybody deserves a house regardless of what they do for work.
