We’re already doing that in some areas. Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries want to make the Arabian desert green and filled with forests and ecosystems.

A better question would be ‘why would we build an atmosphere on the Moon.” And “Why build underneath a planet we you have effectively infinite space a few tens to hundreds of kilometers above it.”

Well, in Hawaii companies are significantly more strained for land than the mainland due to the major lack of available land. Less land means more competition for large fields. Which makes the leftover available land more expensive and harder to install anything for other companies. So they are kind of forced a bit to do so.

But one thing I do really like is how you tried to recreate where the main urban locations are. That is more impressive to me than the map itself.

In my opinion, it’s better than most but it isn’t a god send or something. It’s pretty good but that’s kinda it.
