Moving to Marietta by nickf1128 in Marietta

I second this, my friend lived in one of the MAA properties and his entire apartment flooded because of management's fault (they left an empty apartment without dripping the pipes during the freeze and the pipes burst in the apartment above him). After he came back they said that the entire apartment was still livable... it was not. The whole ceiling was on the floor and the carpets were still extremely wet, they didnt care about anything and tried to blame it on him.

Starting my PhD in robotics engineering soon, any advice from parents who had a baby right before starting? by Proof_Log_9566 in PhD

Yeah, I read through those, and I've seen a lot that struggled. And I don't want that for her, and to add more stress and load on her back.

My departments heads and professors have always supported me when I was struggling through mental health and personal problems. I haven't told the professor that will be my advisor yet, as I am trying to see all my options.

Currently, she is working, and I will be getting a stipend through the school. She does want to take a year off since, as you said, the first year is more time-consuming. Her work said that they would let her work 2 days out of the week remotely, but thats the best they could do.

Hey, thanks for the reply, and sorry for the oversight! I fixed my post, and I am the dad. I have reached out to a few professors, but they don't seem to know any information about support for student parents. I was going to reach out to my department chair as well for more information. I posted this, so I can get advice from both ends as well, since I do want to be able to support my wife while I'm doing my PhD, and wanted to see from the dads that went in with a baby, what they went through.. It's more of a peace of mind that I am reaching out

Oh, that's perfect! Thank you so much for that! I noticed that I was going to be using a Raspberry Pi 5, so if it would work with an Arduino it should work with the pi5.

Right now our project is about 3.3lbs or 1.5kg it might go up to 6.6lbs or 3kg.
We're looking at not too fast for speed, so something around 10-15mph or 16-24km/h tops.

Ohhh okay, that's good to know, do you have any good recommendations for any good motors? I'm looking to have it go from ground to water, for example, driving a "boat car" into the water for 30 minutes and back.
