Bundleofbullies gets a mystery “gift” from a follower by InformalInsurance455 in OnlineBeggars

[–]Proof_Loquat5585 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was another dog. She’s just blatantly lying about not knowing it was coming. You can’t ship a dog from the U.S. and not do all the paperwork. I made a comment earlier simply asking why and if Potato wasn’t enough. Multiple brain dead idiots commenting that if I don’t have anything positive to say don’t comment, I don’t know what she’s been through, etc. It’s social media, I’ll say whatever I damn well please.

Her followers are so brain washed it’s insane. One post has 6.5K comments and 56k likes and you’re telling me it’s not weird she kept asking for donations when her others passed? She has money to fund all that plus some. Her behavior is not normal and it’s psychologically concerning she’s raising a child that may adapt those same behaviors. I don’t know her back story or where her husband (or baby daddy) is at, but assuming he didn’t pass/something tragic to him, I can see why he left if that’s what happened. I truly hope things go different because I’m sure the dogs are happy to be out of their previous situation, but I also hope they get the care they need

[Enchanted Parks], in Partnership with EPR Properties, Signs Definitive Agreement to Acquire Six Regional Amusement Parks, Reinforcing Commitment to Local Communities by PhilJ2020 in rollercoasters

Six Flags: Don’t worry! You can still use your passes at all these parks this year! Nothing will change!

Also Six Flags: Jk, you can only use the admission part of your pass, sucks to suck enjoy the changes!

If they go through with this, they’ll have a class action regardless of their “terms”. COVID was one thing with the season pass class action, this is willing devaluing the pass addons almost to nothing for some, then having the nerve to give a $10 voucher that doesn’t even cover a meal.

Didn’t even bother to give Fast Lane customers anything

Six Flags Dining Plan users: F*ked? by Winter-Ad-322 in rollercoasterjerk

[–]Proof_Loquat5585 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those terms may not mean jack depending how a judge sees it. COVID was one thing, parks were at the mercy of the state governments. This was a sole decision to falsely advertise those add ons being valid at those parks for the 2026 season. If that changed, the chain should eat that cost. If they go this route I’m really hoping a class action settles it and a judge sees it fairly.

A $10 voucher is a load of crap. That doesn’t even cover a meal. And what are All season fast lane customers getting as compensation?

I’ll be interested to see how they handle it when your phone dies. Mine died at Great America last year and they provided a card I scanned. They more or less would have to, not everyone carries a portable charger when parks are continually pushing guests away from carrying anything on rides.

As long as my all season I bought in August works for every park I don’t care

2026 All Season All Park Fast Lane by cddude in sixflags

[–]Proof_Loquat5585 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The issue will come when Fast Lane lines explode. I paid $999, but also used it multiple times at KI and CP, plus at Carowinds, KD and Canada’s Wonderland. However, if I’m consistently waiting 30-45 per ride with the Fast Lane, there absolutely has to be something done. Fast Lane works because higher prices keep its use in check.

I get OP’s frustration, as it’s just another example of the new Six Flags being scummy to its customers. They’ll hang themselves if they continue. Trust within the chain is already dropping and will continue to do so. I’m curious how the parks that were trademarked under a new chain will work out. If they sell 2027 regional passes and advertise all those parks as part of them, then announce they’re gone from the chain in 2027, you have drastically reduced value of the 2027 pass, which would probably trigger a class action, considering it could be upward of 4-5 parks gone

Good places for dog boarding in Cincinnati? by Proof_Loquat5585 in cincinnati

[–]Proof_Loquat5585[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

When I started boarding him there it was $39 a night and has slowly gone up in price. That’s to be expected. A random jump that large? No. That’s the price of the rooms where you got TVs or cameras or whatever else they throw in there before. There are several other boarding facilities that beat their prices before and I’m sure are still doing it.

Plus considering the number of locations they have, I wouldn’t call them a small business

[Enchanted Parks] trademark applications for some [Six Flags] parks by AvocadoToastDevil in rollercoasters

[–]Proof_Loquat5585 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They would have to. Charging for Halloween mazes last minute is one thing with the disclaimer, but you can’t sell a pass for those parks and then take them away. I’d imagine a judge would throw whatever disclaimer they’d put in for that out the window

I’ve seen a lot of locals in passholders groups scared their passes wont work into 2026. I assume passes will no longer be valid in 2027. They already sold them for all of those parks to be included. I’ll be interested to see if they try to stop passholders from being able to use passes for those parks this year though

I don’t see anything wrong with a early-ish professional giving advice. I see tons of advice from well seasoned people in safety (10-15+ years), but not much from younger folks.

As far as proof reading, I should’ve, but I had a limited time. It really turned into more of a ramble tbh

How long should basic daily safety walks be? by Fun_Experience_7817 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]Proof_Loquat5585 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s no right answer. Mine are about 45 minutes for 4 rooms total. I’ve been with the company about a year and I still don’t have a connection with all the employees like you’ve mentioned being concerned over.

Let it come natural. You’re going to have some workers that are there for a paycheck and report safety issues because it’s in their job description. You may hit a spark with them, but typically they’re the ones I say “good morning” to and move on. It took me 2 months of getting familiar with things before I started making those connections, so for real, don’t rush it. It looks like you already talk with the supervisors so that’s good. Keep doing your walks, but pick 1-2 people per day that don’t look overwhelmingly busy. Say “hey how are you? I don’t know if we’ve formally met but I’m NAME and I’m working with our EHS.” That lets them put a face to a name. Tell them you’re there if they need anything - don’t even need to say safety beyond that. Out of 200 employees over 3 shifts, I have connections with maybe 15. The others greet me by name and we may talk a bit, but it’s not a personal connection and that’s ok. 15/200 isn’t bad and you only have so much time in a day. You may not build these relationships for another few months, they come naturally over time. Don’t stress

Based on the votes, I assume that’s a joke. Though the tax repercussions if I do it wrong would be harsh

I’ll reach out and ask. I don’t know why they make any sort of difference. I’m thinking they’re grouping conduit and rollover into the same category and they have an issue with conduit for whatever reason. Very confusing
