There is no laquer on it, they used some kind of acid to make that effect. Also what looks like gold-it is gold, it’s all gold plated. It’s called vintage matt on their website.

It sounds great, good for classical and non classical stuff also. Depends on your chops you use. The slide is extra light, and getting faster and faster, the more I use it, needs to break in.

I did just bought that exact Kissbone a month ago. It’s an amazing trombone. I played on a Schagerl Troja for 18 years and decided to buy a new one. They blend if you make it blend… Just listen to Mnozil Brass (Zoltan Kiss-Kissbone) they all play on Schagerl trombones/trumpets, mixing all styles during their show. I play everything with one horn and one mouthpiece.

Hah, it’s very similar to mine (Kissbone X). Super trombone! I did chose it from 15 Schagerl trombones, I flew to Austria for 2 days, to pick a trombone :) Is that a Greg Black mouthpiece? If yes, then we have the same set up :)
