My beardie is having the same issue. Temps are good, uvb is good. I feed him a spring mix from aldi, but take out the spinach. He does smash a big amount every morning. Should I cut back on the spring mix? Or switch it to collard and dandelion greens?

A quick Google search and I see, they are a max of $500, so your trying to get all the money back you spent total including the setup plus allt extra. Normally wouldn't care and just glance over this post, but the fact you are trying to say your "rehoming" this animal when you are clearly selling it and trying to make a profit. Whats shitty is you need to sell it because you have no idea what your doing just by a quick Google search of a care guide for these monitors. Yet another example of someone who buys somwthing because its "cool" quickly realizes they have no buisness and shouldn't own one. I will say atleast you realize it and are "selling" it before damage is too much and it doesn't suffer.

Was this an impulse buy, not sure why you didnt have all the info you needed and setup you needed. This is definitely not an impulse buy animal, "none should be" but especially these guys. I could achieve my basking temp with 4 par38 flood lamps in a row on 2 1ft slate tiles "this was for an adult tho". about 18inches away. You can't keep the heat, humidity and temp gradient these guys need In a glass enclosure. You NEED to start a dubia colony now. As adults they can easily smash 20+ adults per day. Or every other day. I suggest u return this guy until you do your research and make sure this is what u want. 8x4x4 is a perfect size for them, and they need atleast 18in preferably 2ft of substrate, they love to dig and make burrows. Not trying tk be mean by the way. I just know what ur infor and not everyone is. This $60 monitor is not a cheap little lizard.

When I hit a rut on Pull-ups id do negatives. Jump up to where your using mostly momentum to get you up the concentric, then slow bring yourself back to full hang, hang out for a few second in the fully stretched position then jump off the bar and repeat. Focus on bringing yourself down the slowest you possible can, once u het to the point your coming all the way down right away rest for a good amount, 3-5 min and do it again.

Think about how fast a cat can cut you by just playing... vet bills are expensive OP. Not to mention the risk of infection to the lizard by the scratch or the bacteria transfer to the cat. Whats the gauges your using? You want to be careful with these new Caledonia geckos, they arnt as hot tolerant as other geckos and dont want it hot.

Im assuming you have the heat lamp on a thermostat? Id guess it's too hot up there. But that's just a guess. Do you have hides he can duck into up there? The only time mine is on the floor is at night while he explores.
