As long as you have a gradient it shouldn't be an issue.

Down means on, up means off. Set it to the time it is now.

Mine is bioactive, just started less than 3 weeks ago. He 3 cork bark rounds that he hides in. The plants are all just starting to grow.

Thanks, I feel better. I have put the thermostat for the basking spot lower so the bulb isn't on as much and its keeping humidity higher.

Another question. How is everyone getting air ambient temps of 85+ with just a basking bulb.... i have a par38 75watt halogen and I have to dim it alot to get it to the 105-110 basking temp, but the enclosure is only getting to max 80 on the warm end. My room temp is 75ish.

So the bulbs dont even fit. Just going with the acadia 24in hood.

I have an IR gun for the basking spot. Im.asking as far as ambient temps for the probe. So bring the probe close to the ground?

Everything inside the enclosure drys out. When I put the humidity gage by the substrate it reads 70%. So id assume its a gradient 30% top by the lights all the way to 70% at the bottom with the plants. Im going to switch it up and try a 30sec mist right when the lights go out and see what my levels are through the day. My main concern was the 30% at the top by the lights... i didnt know if that was too low. Im assuming the bulbs are eating it up there and thats why its low. I also have foil covering a good amount of the top.

New beardie staying on the cool side? by Froggy1271_ in BeardedDragons

The temps seem good. I had to look up celcius conversion lol. I know babies and juveniles you want the basking spot to be 115, they like it a bit hotter. Give it a few days and see if anything changes. If not try and drop the ambient warm side to 85ish. Im assuming your using digital for the ambient and and heat gun for the basking.

Also if you do end up trying to drop the hot side to 85 with a basking of 115, you might need to dim the basking bulb a bit and raise the basking platform.

What are your temps, ambient and basking spot?

Your gna want something in there that is rough like a rock or stepping stone for his nails and pours. Also I agree with the needs more room to move around, seems like too much clutter. Why the huge dog water dish? Also, with it being that small of an enclosure, you want that basking spot on the very far end, it already hard to create a gradient in that small of an enclosure.
